The highest compliment I can pay you is that you summarized my thoughts much better than I could put into words.

Well done and all terrific points.

That's pretty arrogant.

Says the guy who has Superman and Kobe in his sig pic...

Besides,

The question SHOULD read: quote: Will the Recruitment of Perriloux Cost Miles His Job?

It's far more arrogant to hijack a thread and attempt to re title the subject from the OP.

Back to the poli board, you go....

If Miles would have let RP continue to act like a punk

What did RP do wrong again? Used a fake ID... how many LSU students drink under the age of 21? Got into a fight outside a local bar in defense of his baby momma... bar fights are common in college. Skipped practice to go to a family funeral... Really punk move?

I think it was the sum total of his violation of team rules.

There wasn't one particular Janzen Jackson type of incident, but still, RP was clearly pushing the limits for a kid on scholarship.

My response, Miles did the RIGHT thing kicking Perrilloux off so, if he bears some culpability, he OBVIOUSLY did the wrong thing recruiting him. It's not complicated logic.

In hind sight no. We don't have the luxury of hindsight in making decisions though. He did the right thing in recruiting him. He was the catch of the class. He did the right thing in kicking him off based on RP's decision making at the time. Both can be right at their respective intervals in history.

Miles is not going anywhere unless he chooses to leave and take the Michigan job. Atheletic Directors are not dumbasses like the people on here. The guy is a winner and the powers that be at LSU know this. If you thing they listen to what fans think you are full of shite. If he keeps winning people will keep coming to the games and that is all that matters.

MIles is a good coach.
