Will the 2020 rent a win Rice game in NRG Stadium in Houston be a packed house?

That game in Tiger Stadium was about 50% full. I'll be there because it's an easy trip and neat to see LSU play in other places but LSU is going to win 49-0. It's a really weird game. Week 3. LSU should get out of that Alleva shite Tulane home and home series style and play someone else with a pulse in Houston.

Random note: LSU's first three games are against UT San Antonio, Texas, and Rice. LSU is making the Texas Two Step Trip.

the rice game was also empty because it was like sub 40 degrees. tons of LSU fans in Houston. I'm sure they'll be pumped to have a close game they can go to and then you know for a fact that we'll travel well. I think it's a recruiting thing to go play in Houston so the Houston kids can watch us play close to home, too. I know that's a garbage recruiting strategy but that's what Virginia Tech just did last year playing (and losing) at Old Dominion.

The Houston alumni base will probably keep it from being embarrassing

Potentially. But that LSU/Tulane game in the Dome was pretty shittily attended.

The key to these games is the TV contract. Is it a Rice home game or a neutral site game? If it is Rice home game, LSU gets no TV money. If it's a neutral site game, then open bidding on the TV money.

Over 58,000 for a 11 o'clock against Tulane isn't bad.

The Texas Tigers will show up in force. We appreciate it every time our teams come to Houston. NRG will be Tiger Stadium West.

It's a Rice home game. They chose to play it at NRG. Rice Stadium's upper decks aren't safe so they don't put fans there and they've also covered the endzone seats so it only holds about 47,000 now

I think NRG will be close to full, maybe 55,000 to 58,000.

My wife and I will be at that game in Houston. We would not even bother to go to TS to see LSU play Rice. I have already given away my tickets to the GA Southern, NW State, and Utah State games this year.

I might go. Really depends on if the Saints are home that weekend or not.
Astros being home that weekend would be a plus.
