The 2000 team is a perfect example.

the 2000 team was also the #2 national seed. yes we went right on through the post season, but it's not like we were just ok going into the post season and got hot in the post season like fresno state did a few years ago or arizona last year.

Easy hoss....it is only April 1. A lot could happen like injuries...and LSU hasn't even come close to playing the meat of the SEC schedule. Holler back in a couple of weeks after we have gone through Kentucky and Arkansas and let's compare notes again at that point.

I'm sure everyone agrees that if this team fails to reach Omaha it will be a huge disappointment but what if they go 0-2 at the CWS?

Do they need to at least reach the title series to consider this a successful season?

Whoa slow down chief, long way to go.

This. We have won the games we needed to win. Now we have to start playing tough SEC opponents.

The SEC opponents LSU has beaten to date are a combined 0-9 in SEC series.

We gave those three teams 3 of those series losses. State isn't that bad and Auburn played us and Vanderbilt. Missouri is the only one you can say is bad.

Also, the West is stacked. If we can pull a divisional championship out of this division it will be nice. The next 2 series will show me where we are at though. Take 2 of 3 from both Kentucky and Arkansas and sitting 12-3 mid way through the SEC would be hard to complain about.

I will be disappointed if this team doesn't sweep the CWS and go on to defeat North Korea.

The armed forces. Not the baseball team.

Every season is a disapointment to a certain segment of LSU fans. No matter what level the team reaches there will always be a gaggle of negative fans that will bitch.

we haven't seen them play someone who will be in Hoover.

At least ONE of the teams we've played will definitely be in Hoover for the SEC tournament.

Truth. In a game like baseball where individual performance is essentially the entire game, getting as far as Omaha is an enormous accomplishment in and of itself.

No, if we lose another game we should just scrap the season and start over

I agree. Javi will be first on the chopping block.
