Why not? It's been almost 20 years since we beat the #1 team in the nation at home.

They shouldn't.

The question was 'will they' not 'should they.' If LSU beats Bama Saturday, there will be a field rush, 100%, no doubt, it will happen.

I'm not going to get all pissy if and when they do rush the field. We will be a big underdog and it's been 6 years since we've beaten them at home. Enjoy it how you want. Talking heads won't focus on that when the No.13 team beats what is widely considered as one of Saban's better No.1 teams....

We haven't beaten bama since the regular season of 2011.
They've had our number the last 5 games and ruined our season hopes in several of those 5 devastating losses.
We haven't been on their level since we lost to them 1/9/12.
And after all the lows BR/Louisiana, our fan base and this team has been through this year if we beat the #1 team in the country at home, putting us back in a good position to reach the SEC title, CFP, and maybe even Heisman shot for LF7. You better fricking believe we're rushing the field

Why not?

Because people are insecure and attach their pride to silly things like when fans should or shouldn't celebrate huge wins in certain ways

Will it happen: Yes, no question.

Should it happen: No, we're not Kentucky.

When was the last time LSU beat the #1 team in Baton Rouge? 1997?

Beating the top team is a huge deal. I say storm on the field no question.

I can tell you as a student on campus it is 100% happening. There's not one person that doesn't expect us to rush the field when we win.

If I was on the team and the crowd stormed the field I would be embarrassed to no end. WE EXPECT TO BEAT ALABAMA - not roll over and kiss their arse and make it look like something that should not have happened.

I will.

And I look forward to all the bitching on this board the next morning by the old miserable fricks who were stuck watching the game with their fat lard wife in the upper decks and complaining how a "program of our caliber" should never rush the field under any circumstance rabble rabble

Duke Riley and Luke Boyd and the rest of the team looked real embarrassed when we beat Ole frickin Miss of all schools. The team will definitely hide their faces in shame when we beat Alabama, a team no one on our roster has experienced beating.

We do? I usually don't expect to beat a team who has beaten us 7 of the last 9 meetings.
