Had you even kept up with recruiting you would know LSU has its highest ranked prospect in history coming to Baton Rouge.
False.

False.

Who did I overlook? The Mount St Mary’s arm?
Did you call Paul Skenes the "Air Force arm" before he came here too?
Did you know the top 2 hitters in terms of batting average for A&M this year came from Ivy League schools?

It's quite funny how he continues to double down on his stupidity.

Skenes was a projected R1 MLB guy before coming to LSU

Curiel hasn’t been mocked R1 anywhere. Crews was. Even Johnson was

Johnson has coached here 3 years. So you have expected him to, in that time recruit first rounders to lsu that are getting drafted now?
And he doesnt get credit for transfers?
Or jacob berry? Who he recruited to arizona and to lsu?
Does he get any credit for kris bryant?

Who is the young centerfielder coming in?
Posted on 6/28/24 at 8:09 am to burreauxxx
Don’t know what is considered a star, but I would rather have depth at pitcher and consistent hitters throughout the lineup.

Skenes was not considered a 1/1 overall type pick before coming here, he started shooting up boards in the fall of 2023 getting noticed for what he was doing in practice here then by the time spring rolled around it was clear he was one of the top prospects with what he was doing to teams.
I've pulled up some early mocks for 2023 draft from summer of 2022 like this one that didnt even include him in the 1st round. Some do include him somewhere in 1st (not 1/1 overall), almost all did by fall/winter time 2023/early 2024 because again he got noticed in a big way here even during practice by scouts.
He improved dramatically at LSU, no question about it. He was not the same product coming in here as going out here.

Ya'll really need to stop responding to this moron and maybe he'll just disappear the way Magician did.

Probably but far from certain. He has leverage and could easily bet on himself and make a few milli next year while still having leverage with another good season.
Get some NIL dollars and work towards his degree in the meantime, rather than bussing around A ball.

Very few guys predicted to go 1-1 that far before the draft actually do so. He was a R1 projection while at Air Force
Again, Jay has done great so far stroking Lipsey’s gun store checks to get studs for a year or two. I have yet to see him identify high school players and develop them like Vitello, Schloss and others have in recent years. That’s not to say he won’t — at LSU a clown should be able to do it with our many advantages.
So, when I see Maineris high school recruits gone now, I think it’s fair to question who Jays brought in that wasn’t turnkey NIL/portal. Where are the star players that are being developed at LSU?
