I have a much bigger grudge against Arnsparger than Miles but people seem to like Arnsparger.

Arnsparger once told the story about Stan Humphries who was a stud qb, but he wouldn't go to class. So Bill had someone shadow Stan to make sure he'd go to his classes, but Stan would lose the shadow'r.

Humphries would have been one of best QB's to ever play at LSU had he gone to some classes.

Wasted? Plenty went into the NFL so they were not "wated" you can say LSU under performed based on fan expectations which is fine. However, "wasted" doesn't seem accurate as many of the best offensive seasons happened under Les. People prefer to compare that to the 2019 season which is unfair.

No. Eating grass was endearing but eating coed carpet is always a non starter.

Was there any final conclusion to the story?? Don't know if anything was proven. If so, guess I missed it.

I'm no big Les fan but all the stuff that came out after seemed entirely overblown mainly by people who hated him since day one at LSU and used it as reason to validate their dislike of him. Was he a weird guy sure but a lot of people never gave him much of a chance

And no he should not get a statue but no real reason for LSU fans to hate him

Didn't take long for this thread after that sexual harrassment payout was made public

Kansas must have thought there was something to it all--they cut him loose.
Kansas used it as an excuse to dump him cause he was doing horrible there. It was a terrible hire from the beginning. It was a gift to them

Les' quirky mannerisms & gibberish talk were fake and showed disrespect to the fan base. You can get away with that crap by not losing, but his incredible luck ran out and Les' boring arse shitty offense & being Saban's bitch his last few years doomed him.

Les really loved the media attention, and I'm glad he's no longer getting it and is now considered a pariah.

Do 109 downvotes up to this point provide any indication.

Maybe among his professional apologists - the ones with all the stats - who were satisfied with "almost" and "just barely."

All the traps that a young Joe Burrow warned us about during his tenure here. He tried to tell us to "never settle."

The 26 upvotes apparently don't realize how close Miles came to having "to register."

He should have had more NCs with the talent he had. His time management skills sucked the fun out of LSU football for me. He should have never been allowed back in Baton Rouge after losing to Bama in the NC.

As minor footnotes. 2019 will be the high point of all of our sports fan experiences.

Minor? The subsequent years were beyond awful. And spare me the "mass exodus" from 2019 excuse. There were players that were on the roster that he recruited when Kelly took over. He either had no interest in cultivating them to the best of their potential or he didn't know how to. As a recruiter, Ed was pretty good. As a head coach.....

We went from the top of the mountain to not only rolling down it but we crashed into the ski lodge at the base of it.

I'll never understand how some of you O fans refuse to admit he drove this program into the ground. Like he was some "amazing" coach. If he was even a good coach, those "minor footnotes" would've never happened.

The guy couldn't make the right hires, he drove off the defensive coordinator that he inherited and was involved in 2019 (the same 2019 you mentioned that was the high point) because he thought he knew more. After Aranda was gone, how did the defense look? With Pelini it looked horrible. Jones was a bit better as the season when on but still not where LSU defense should be. But the defense did play better that year.

How did the offense look? Beyond terrible.

When the head coach is saying on his own radio show, "If I knew how to fix it, I would." That's not a good look. To publicly say that, that's just...... in a word, stupid. Even if you're thinking it, you don't admit it publicly.
