Without JJ, we lose game 1. The problem was that Saban spent the time between game 1 and game 2 finding ways to stop JJ. We then didn't attempt to change things until it was too late.

Some guy has done some filem study on the game. The game plan appeared ok but the offense could not pick up on the reads. Even Saban stated LSU WRs were open on plays.

Regardless, time to move on and get ready for this year.

13-1 in 2011.
14-0 in 2012.

JJ is what made things unpredictable for Saban the first time.
that unpredictability netted us 6 points in regulation

I agree. Without JJ game 1 is lost. My thought is that the coaches did not place much confidence in JJ's ability to go downfield, hence the MNC disaster.

LSU did all verticals on several occasions. JJ appears to have had a hard time figuring out coverage and/or not looking off primary/secondary receivers.

MNC ? Are you serious. After reading this board and the recruiting board since 1/9,it will be a miracle (and I'm sure fluke) if LSU makes A bowl game this year.

Overall the schedule is easier but the SEC schedule is harder. Arky game could be for all the marbles.

I agree with you, just know that every year is tough, particularily in the league in which we play. I think that's what makes it more interesting. If there were no challenges, then we wouldn't appreciate it as much. As long as I've been watching LSU football, it' just great to know that we are respected and compete every year for championships.

The schedule this year is MUCH, much easier. And we'll have a legit passing QB.

I loved it up there. Lived out in Scappoose for a few years. Beautiful country.

i figure we'll prepare for washington all summer and fall.

there's a 3 game stretch that's at florida, home for SC, then at A&M. i dont like that stretch.

other than that we have a one game year against bama again. and it's at home. so we should be fine.

3 reasons it has not been easier since '92 to even get to ATL in the even-numbered years:

@AUB
@FLA
@ARK

Now add in @A&M, & the '12 Tigahs have their work cut out for them.
