No he’s not. Not even arguably. Not in the conversation. He’s closer to being overrated than he is to being in the argument for best lb on the planet.

Perkins is already causing havoc as a pass rusher. He definitely has the potential to be better than White, Honey Badger style creating chaos.

Different types of players. White is a true Mike LB, compact, powerful, fast, defensive QB. I’ll get hammered for this comparison but Perkins is a lot like Micah Parsons, a guy you can line up all over the place and he can do whatever you want. He can rush like an OLB, he can cover, he can play ILB and stop the run, he can rush middle and get home. White is an All-Timer at LSU, Perkins could be as well.

This is exactly right. White might be seen as a better player at his position, but Perkins has potential to be more impactful doing a bunch of different stuff. Love the Parsons comparison cause he was in college and is now just an athlete without a position making plays everywhere on the field.

I believe he will.

Devin White was the highest drafted LSU linebacker in history.

You like the odds of Harold Perkins being better?

That would be great if he was, but be realistic.

I would hope no one would try to argue against this.

If mentioned in same stratosphere as Devin White, life is good at LB.

That’s an interesting question and what stands out to me is I noticed both of them wearing 40 on a kickoff lighting up the ball carrier. Just very deja vu! Perkins could be better believe he has more of a mean streak

This is the rant. No place for logic and well thought out takes. It has to be one or the other. Get it right next time.

Devin is the goal, and he might make it. If so, he'll be one of the greats...

Look, I’ve been on Perkins since his recruitment, but what made you say this?

Just curious as to the examples you’ve seen in 4 games that would make you compare him to a Heisman finalist and one of the greatest college football players ever.

He’s Devin white with more natural instincts. Devin white was a RB first his whole life while Perkins has always been a LB first.

Will Perkins be better than the junior version if Devin White? Who knows but he has the talent and athleticism to get there.

How is he as a horseman? White is basically a good ole boy....a veritable cowboy.

I think Matt house is a damn good position coach/ DC. DW was an absolute freak in size but he had the smarts for the position. Physically, yes Perkins could be as good as DW. Time will tell on the mental side of things. Looks promising though

You need to revisit TM7s highlight reel from 2011. Perkins isn’t making that level of impact. I truly hope he does one day though.

I don’t think Devin played as a true freshman

I knew Devin was going to play in the NFL as a Freshman when he literally tackled a kick off returner but stripped the ball with 1 hand as they were falling to the ground. Was probably one of the coldest forced fumbles/fumble recovery I've ever seen
