I dunno about that +. 35 is the ceiling against Florida and realistically I expect 28-31.

I don't think Florida gets far above 20 though. 21-24 tops. Should be a 7-10 pt LSU win imo.

we've been ridiculously good on 3rd downs this yr. tied for 3rd in the nation.

Then that should be interesting. We're #2 in the country in 3rd Down % Defense
This whole matchup is interesting. Strength against strength, weakness against weakness.

Looking forward to it...glad it's at our place.

Our offense is a machine. The one thing that needs to improve is the O Line. They have allowed Mett to be hit.
and that's a huge concern! Other teams have also been able to stuff the run on occasion. We are going to need to run the ball for some to extend the possessions keep our defense off the field.

11-12 sacks already this season.

Through six games is not bad. It's the additional hits that he's taking that would concern me from a health standpoint.

Is it the O-line missing assignments or is it that then D tries to send more than we can block?

It is more complicated than this. The answer is that sometimes we miss assignments, sometimes it is an overload (too many to one side) or overwhelm blitz (too many numbers), but plenty of times it is a check into the wrong protection where LSU has the numbers, but they are committed to stop the wrong player showing. The latter has been a big problem and is usually the most difficult part of a pre-snap check, so that's not alarming. Just part of the chess game.

Teams ares defending the formation and tendencies. As a defensive coach you aren't going to play nickel defense against a goal line type formation. How stupid would that be?

I don't think you know what stack the box means.

Fans are confusing "stacking the box" with personnel decisions.

I expect Landry to have a big game, like we saw against UGA.

Quick slants, short underneath crossing routes, some dump off to RBs, too.

Florida's secondary is very good, but Cam gonna Cam....

Is Purifoy gonna play in this game>? I don't recall what his status was with the injury...

The LSU Oline can't seem to handle the blitz so expect a lot of that. If we can't pick up the blitz, it's gonna be a long day.

It doesn't matter what D we face, LSU will put up points unless we implode and turn it over 5 times.

I just don't see this team doing that in DV vs UF.

If UF gets pressure with the blitz, I expect more shotgun and quick strikes.

That is the good thing about Cam.
