They have the best receiving corps in the country, IMO.

I think aTm's is better. And frankly, talent-wise, LSU and 'Bama aren't far behind. Also, in nickel and dime packages, you are afforded the opportunity to double the best receiver without jeopardizing your coverage.

I was thinking the same thing, have Tre play nickel. Auburn does like to put Quille in the slot on occasion, LBs need to be aware when that happens.

I like the single high safety also but I like Adams in that spot because of his athleticism. Bring Mills down to play something similar to a rover. He can blitz, cover the slot or H-back, and play contain on those zone reads.

Beckwith and Kwon in on almost every defensive snap.

Rotate in different DL guys every series.

Limit the amount of snaps defensive starters get on STs.

I would like him to adjust so we don't leave the middle of the field totally wide open.

Front 7 is going to need a S in the box. Our 7 sucks. Chavis will not put a S in the box so we will continue to get gashed on the ground. Either way, we're fricked. Bring a S down and you will see them tossing it over our head constantly. This defense is incredibly overrated.

If they want people to stop saying that this is their game to prove it but unfortunately, I don't think we have the front 7 to deal with AU. No pass rush and lack of control up the middle.

Teams have been spreading us out because you can't leave WRs free to come of the LOS or it's an easy catch and run. LBs are forced to move to the outside and once the RBs break the first level, they're running free. We're weak on the dline so the lanes are huge up the middle. Wouldn't mind seeing the stats of big runs this year compared to the previous 14 years at LSU. I'll bet this is one of the worst run defenses as far as giving up this many big runs this early in the season. Probably one of the worst in YPC too. I seem to remember even against creampuffs they were probably hitting us with a 5-6 YPC average. I think they were only good against 1 team so far this year against the run.

We are all gonna be sick if quille makes plays and wins the game for them. We all knew it forthcoming though.

They have Williams for one year we have Dupre and gang for 3-4. Noil will also have a good career but will regret his choice when we win it all.

How long have we been bitching about this?

I'll believe it happens when I see it.

What about putting Collins and RR on them 2, and having Tre White as the nickel this game? Because we will be in a lot of nickel and Tre White is solid in run support and can blitz. Tre White would be good in that nickel role just for this game... He's disruptive and a playmaker.

This +100000000

Collins and Robinson should be matched up with Sammy Coates & Duke Williams.........lock them on those 2 wr's for the entire game.......let White, Paris, Jefferson & Adams handle the other receivers.......leave Mills & Martin free to play over the top for passing plays and in the box for run support....

Also, you have to remember guys, if you go back and watch the Moo State game; there were times when we had a "bigger" corner matched up with the bigger receiver.....BUT, like a good offensive coordinator does, Moo State would motion and shift prior to the snap to force man and coverage changes........LSU has to do a better job of NOT allowing themselves to get "unfavorable mis-matches"..............

Play Jamal Adams over Ronald Martin

Adams is filling D Thomas' spot.

As for Williams, yeah we lost a good in-state WR.

But I'd take

Dural
Diarse
Dupre
Quinn

Over him any day.

A week ago I would not have agreed. Thought mostly negatigers were on both Welter and AJ. After watching rebroadcast of NMSt game, I can see what you're talking about. I was shocked at how quick Beckwith was to the ball... And BH may be the GOAT at QB for LSU... Duke Williams is a beast. We almost landed him as well. But the coaches makes suggestions on schemes, players, etc., and Les makes final decision. So even if Chief agrees with you, Les will make the personnel decision.

This is something I've been curious about. With the way Welter has played the last 2 years, I find it hard to believe him starting and playing so much is solely Chavis' decision.
