Well auburn is/was in the exact same situation (head coach refusing to meet on the record regarding this case) with a coach who already has a show cause and they let pearl keep coaching

If he wasn’t guilty, he’d talk
Think about it before you post. Alleva is using that leverage - which he knows fully well - Wade CANT say anything.
He just wants to fire him because LSU has been caught in something else and my guess it is football the biggest money maker. OLOL came out in OCTOBER and we are just learning about it? How timely and convenient, don’t you think? Alleva might be a dumbass, but he knows how all those salaries are paid.

“ we have no evidence that he has been subpoenaed”
Other than the fact he has been given a notice of a federal subpoena. While that might not make it against any law to discuss his possible testimony before a trial, it’s certainly nothing any personal attorney would suggest that he do or even allow him to do it.
LSU handled this supposed to be meeting badly and arbitrarily. Joe’s comments after their first tournament win was totally out of line, but there isn’t anything new with that from his history.

the tapes, man, the tapes. That’s why Wade lawyered up and clammed up.
Oh yeah, what do they say? The released transcript says nothing.

Will Wade better be free of any major infractions or a lot of people will look stupid
The problem MANY have is the administration jumped the gun at the perfectly wrong time to pull this. It was based on an article someone wrote. Not any factual proof. No full recording or hell even any proof that what was reported was even on a recording. It's basically this guy saying it is. And our administration has decided to ruin LSU Basketball for at least the next decade just based on this dude.
If actual proof was out, then I don't think you would see near the backlash over his suspension. Wade MAY end up being guilty with proof to prove it. However what they have now isn't proof of anything.

"Notice of a federal subpoena."
Please. An attorney said he "planned" to call Will Wade as a witness, along with other coaches. At this point, Wade is as free to talk about the trial as any man, woman or child in America. He could also talk to his boss. He's even free to talk to the NCAA. If he wanted, he could speak with any reporter he chooses in the entire country to get HIS story out. No subpoena. No restrictions. Crickets.

Of course anyone CAN talk. When people say he can't talk, they mean for his own good legally. No one should talk ahead of time no matter their guilt or innocence. They use everything against you.

He doesn’t need proof. All he needs is “Will Wade would not meet with me for a duscussion.” I don’t like it, you don’t like it, none of us like it. But that’s the way it is.
