One reason may be tourism. I’m sure host sites that bid want people to spend money on hotels and restaurants all weekend, and not leave after Friday game. Not saying it’s the key reason, but imagine it plays a part. Friday night game would be great IMO.

I'm all for Saturday night. That always feels the most natural for college football.

Not happening, NFL controls the weekends once playoff start.

That's the reason for Monday night

If there are no ratings then games won’t be on TV. You capable of going to every major game in person that you want to see? If not then you most definitely care about ratings.

It’s basically two free days off of work.

Monday: no one will be able to focus because game.
Tuesday: no one will be able to focus because hangover/sleep deprivation

Only problem with Saturday night is if the hosting town has a pro game on. Otherwise I agree

I love Saturday night during college season. IV always wished that NFL and NCAA got on same page to spread the wealth and offset the seasons, would have less of the bs startup leagues trying to take up the dead space in between football seasons.

Or let the NFL play just one early game on Saturday and let the NCAA have the Saturday Night. Then the NFL can have the Monday slot that they have had all season long.

NFL wont agree to that. Give a competitive advantage to the team that has an extra day or 2 of rest.

Face it, it's not changing the NFL runs things for post season

Friday night is terrible for ratings and NFL playoffs keep it from being on Saturday or Sunday.
