Why no I Formation inside the 5?

Oregon was pretty surgical running that with Grace as the fullback the past two years. Can even set two blockers in front of the RB and ram it in. Use the tools you got.

I miss Jacob Hester.

I say line-up Deuce Geralds in as FB

Running inside zone vs odd man front isn’t Kiffin’s bread & butter like we saw against Tech.
I think we’ll see a lot more creativity this weekend when we need hards

Because that limits you on the play calling. Don’t get me wrong there is a time and a place but having more options with running the QB or throwing RPOs on the goal line is better than smash mouth football in today’s CFB

It's harder to throw an interception if you run the ball and thus keep the score artificially close and lure Ole Piss into a false sense of confidence.

This was mentioned over fall camp. Wondering if they’re saving it for ole miss

I'm sure Kiffin is hiding some things as Clemson got out of control early
La Tech - he did show some wrinkles with Green in play calling

Kiff last year lined up 2 DT as blockers in goal line. It worked famously

I've thought the exact same thing.
Inside the 10, especially inside the 5, they should be able to pound it in.
I don't care what they run between the 10s. Inside the 10 is grown man football. Maybe hit them with a pass to the TE as well.

Why no I Formation
One thing we will never have to worry about with Kiffin is how much importance he will place on having a great running game.

It's a good wrinkle to have in the playbook. Run out of the I once, you can fake out of it or use misdirection 3x.

No one cares or notices when a traditional short yardage formation is stuffed, but everyone cries when a spread is stuffed in short yardage lol

Because the Oline can’t take steroids anymore.

#7 at fullback would be interesting. Either one of the them.

I think there will be creativity when needed. I think for CLK running and I formation would be creative for him and it could catch people off guard. Or even a wishbone. What I don't like is running shotgun on the 5.
I'm not saying you have to pound it between the tackles, but be creative and mix it up every down. Keep them guessing because a split second of indecision is all you need.
