0/4 on 4th down is the killer. He over adjusted after the UK game. Needed some of those points

It’s one of the stranger games I can ever remember watching. It’s why I’m not even mad.

It was like watching a baseball team rack up 15 hits but lose 4-3 to a team with 4 hits but one was a 3 run homer.

Those stats are honesty astonishing.

But heads up: in-game head-scratchers, which will always be plentiful with him, aren’t the only reason he deserves criticism.

But this wasn’t just fluky luck like in baseball. In football you have to have real, deeply ingrained issues to pull off losing by three scores with that level of statistical disparity

He pissed down his leg against Ole Miss and now Bama.

The guy is in over his head at LSU and the pressure is getting to him! If you could get him to tell you the truth, he would tell you he should have stayed at Ole Miss! I hope it works out, but I really don't have much faith in him here.

Now show Fake Baker giving up 73 points at home against Bama in the last to home games

I wouldn't go that far.

Trolling aside, he has looked wildly uncomfortable in the games I’ve watched this year and he just doesn’t seem like a good fit at LSU. Not counting him out, he has shown he can surprise some people, but OM really did seem like a better situation. Eventually he’s going to wind up at his natural fit: Auburn. I’ve been saying that for 15 years and I’m nearly certain he will wind up there. Just a perfect match.

Meh

More like hitting a batter, walking another and then giving up a bomb.

LSU gave this game away with poor decisions and poor execution, which is strange to say in an 18 point loss, but it was a 4 point game going into the 4th before LSU went full retard.

Can’t argue that, not to mention the bone headed call to go for it on 4th and 10, deep in your own territory.

Exactly. Usually with those kind of stats it's 31-13 LSU

I think Kiffin understood it wasn't going to happen overnight.

I think most people did, but there's a select few who get overly excited and then run around talking shite.

We had a great portal haul. The fact that we needed to do that meant the team has serious issues, plenty of holes that had to be filled. That's not the type of team that can run through the schedule we have without getting in trouble a few times.

We need to start getting players in through recruiting again, and those guys need to make impacts. We have a few, we need more. Need to get offensive linemen and linebackers again. A few young WRs would also be nice.

I'm saying that from a pressure standpoint. He just looked much more comfortable at Ole Miss than he does here. He knows the expectations are much higher here than they are at Ole Miss. I hope I am wrong, but I just sense that he has a deep regret for leaving there and coming here. Maybe its something he can overcome in time and some success. I hope so, because I'm tired of this same old crap year in, year out against good teams!

You’re talking about year 4-6 of Kiffin at ole Miss. Thats when he hit his stride.

Year 1 they were 5-5. Really good year 2 and then 8-5 year 3.

Maybe give him more than 9 games and one recruiting class to “get comfortable”.

The thing about today's game that really pisses me off (and while I get no one likes losing, it's how you lose), the 4th down decisions were stupid.

We're already in FG range and he goes for it on 4th down and doesn't convert any of them. Got no points FOUR TIMES.

If nothing else, kick the field goals earlier in the game and perhaps he's not in the mess he was in the 4th to go for it on LSU's own 20 (because at that point, LSU was running out of possessions of the football so now he's trying to make up those lost points). Don't convert and Alabama takes over on downs with a short field-which is exactly what happened. They scored a TD two plays later.

We were moving the ball down the field and then when we got to the redzone, I don't know what happened. Take the points earlier in the game and while they may not have been a game charger, they could serve to be beneficial later in the game. Not doing so resulted in no aid later in the game.

I still like Kiffin, I'm a little steamed at him right now but those were bad decisions on fourth down.

Good point. I hadn't thought of that.

That's true. That's why I said hopefully he will get there in time. Maybe that's one reason he appears unsettled because he thought they would be in a different spot at this point.
