my only grumble about the trip is that the LSU fan base that is unable to get the leftovers (after Jerry's season ticket holders get first dibs) have to support his welfare program for seat license holders on the secondary market....

Small upside - we beat the dog shite out of them early and we have that our or resume, we don't drop in the polls.

Small upside

Sort of like you bitching about the 2013 game???

Oregon game was the best time I've ever had in regards to lsu game not being a NC game. By far

Good for recruiting, too.

The biggest good reason! Huge draw for recruits in Texas and national audience.

Money is probably primary reason.

I feel you, but that's the way it is. Still, more than worth it. At least to Tiger fans. Not sure what a Duck fan would say.

I understand national tv BUT 1. First game of the year versus a quality opponent rather than a cupcake to work out the kinks on. 2. We give up a home game to travel 800 miles play a team located 20 miles from the stadium. It would be like playing in the Superdome a University located in Mandeville. WHERE Is the Upside?

they sell beer at the stadium
we get a home game in 2014 back
air conditioned stadium
fun road trip
Capital bar with TCU bitches
I don't see a downside

We get home money+national tv exposure=helping recruiting+beat a quality opponent on the road=better SOS

What is the downside besides you can't tailgate on campus?

Why was playing Oregon in the opener last season good?

It was awesome fun.
Jerry's World is very nice.
We had plenty of people tailgating around us.
My seats were great.

Do you watch much football?

1 - We will smash them
2 - Were you at the Oregon game?
3 - Jerry's Palace is sweet

1 - We will smash them YES
2 - Were you at the Oregon game? YES
3 - Jerry's Palace is sweet---not if you're sitting above the 200 level...in the nosebleeds, all you're doing is paying to watch the giant TV...
