Pelini will not be here next year so why see out the rest of the season with him, theres no coming back from this, get him out promote Raymond and show these recruits that we are building off something and are trying to fix the situation. This is pitiful, O looks like a PE teacher rn clapping on national TV down 30, not getting mad at anyone, just taking it straight in the A$$ this season, I wouldn't be suprised if he got that from his new GS pegging him at night.

I think Pelini is here for a while. If O cuts him after the season that would be two coordinator hires he made that were busts

Ok...

Don’t understand your logic. We know he’s a bust already. Why keep him?

Pelini won’t last longer than one season.

Even if the decision to fire him before the season is over is already made, you might as well do it after the Bama game so that doesn’t go under the new guy.

Unless they plan on giving the interim DC the job for next year too, then might as well wait til after season to fire Pelini.

Because if you do promote say Raymond as interim DC and then go hire someone else for next year I could see that ruffling internal feathers and making a bad problem worse.

That’s not a guarantee

His unit sucks too. That said, he’s been good before. If you make him interim and then demote him next season you lose him too.

You can't do this mid season. Well i mean you can do whatever but O is not going to do this mid season. End of the season sure.

Pelini will get 2 maybe 3 years. Especially if they show improvement throughout this year and with a full offseason of work.

My question is, can we get someone on a shorter contract (2 years) and stop paying top dollar to everyone who comes here no matter what?

The boosters would be putting up the money for a buyout, not LSU.

Ask the fricking guy who wrote it. Or are you too dumb to understand the quote function (highly probable)?

Could be, but a lot of people tend to conflate the two like the school has to create the money. The school pays a very small portion of coaching salaries and generally none of the buyouts when utilized.

Well no shite. The Athletic Dept. Pays. Alot of its money is from donors and football revenue. Well football revenue is down big and I'm sure the donors are hurting too.

How many times does O get to frick up the hires and be bailed out by the donors is what I'm wondering.

He did it with Canada and now looks like Pelini
