Louisiana always produced great RB but I’m puzzled by the lack of a dominant RB room or featured Back since 2019. Where did the program or Coaches go wrong?

The game has moved past a feature RB … I’d say multiple quality backs with pass catching abilities are more of an asset .

Isn’t the team’s average per carry more significant than having one guy that gets more carries?

Does the team do better when one guy is featured?

It's a passing game these days.

With nearly back to back Heisman QBs and first round WRs it’s kinda hard to feature a RB. This is not a symptom of offensive weakness, as the stats show.

If you were a feature RB, would you want to play with a running QB?

None of those things should prevent you for having better talent at RB.

Ty Davis-Price was solid, but they’ve stuck out on a lot of guys. It is ok to say that.

Uhhhhh yea. This is a prime situation for a RB. Especially true dual threats like Burrow & Daniels

Burrow

Not a running QB, but a QB who could run when needed. Also could make pre snap reads and put some touch on passes to CEH.

Sad to see Josh Williams still not getting the respect he deserves.

Burrow & his ability to run opened up that whole offense. And frankly made CEH a 1st rd pick vs a 5th RD pick

“Since 2019” is only 4 seasons. 2 of those years were the worst seasons we’ve had since DiNardo. The other 2 years included a Heisman Trophy QB who ran the ball a lot. We led the SEC in yards per rush last year.

The RB numbers haven’t looked very good with Daniels at QB but I think that’s largely a function of the entire offense running through Jayden. I think we’ll see a bit of a return to form this year, especially with our OL being the strength of the offense. I still think it’ll be a lot of RB-by-committee but I don’t think that part should really matter as long as they’re productive.

LSU had the #1 offense in the country last year and you’re worried about a featured rb

This year’s offense will be interesting to see develop. I think we lean more on the run game than previous, especially with this oline. We could potentially see impressive numbers this year. Will be fun to watch.

Well we do have the #1 RB in the country committed who is a Louisiana kid. Harlem Berry could be next the Fournette.
