Obviously, the man can play. I just saw him projected to be mid twenties.

What happened?

who knows, maybe he didn't interview well. He also didn't perform well in drills at the combine but did much better at his pro day. Mock drafts are a crap shoot regardless, so I wouldn't put much stock into them. He'll be, at worst, the third DB taken IMO

It’s a little weird he’s still dropping after his crazy good 40 time, but I still think he’ll go top 20 and will be the #1 CB off the board.

He pulled out of drills at the combine.

He did them at proday.

Sometimes I feel Like teams overthink these things.

I hate to disparage a tiger, but these drops are usually the result of attitude / interview issues.

No one doubts his physical skill.

People started to question his ability to tackle.

He looked slow in drills, and then people harped more on his bad plays.

They were few and far between but the smallest thing can turn into a mountain these days for the draft.

Just really odd that not even 4 months ago people hailed him as the best CB LSU has ever had. Amazing how fast things happen.

According to some, probably the deepest draft of defensive tackles/lineman in recent history. Big guys like that are continuing to go earlier and earlier in the draft.

Then there will always be teams in the quarterback sweepstakes.

Then you always have to through in teams trying to fill needs with the best available at that position.

Of course, there is the possibility of teams/agents leaking bad info on him to make him drop to benefit their team/client.

So...where do you think he should go when you look at draft order and take into account things like I mentioned?

Yeah I think it’s more of this. Or that iq test thing they do. There’s plenty of nfl corners who suck at tackling. They didn’t figure out anything new about his athletic skills at the combine.

He performed the positional drills. I think what he pulled out of were the other measureable drills. I know I saw footage on the NFL network of him doing the regular DB drills. Whatever the case, I did read he did much better on those at his pro day. I don't think NFL scouts necessarily overthink them, but these so called draft experts certainly put a lot more stock in these things than I believe actual scouts do.

the top 3 in basically every mock are DeAndre Baker (UGA), Byron Murphy (Washington), and Greedy. Different mocks have those three going in different order. It's basically just guessing who will get picked first, second, and third between those three guys, although I do personally think Baker and Greedy will be the first two taken and that they're pretty interchangeable.

He was never a legitimate top 20 player.

I did see at least one person make the claim he was the best DB we've ever had since Casanova, which I thought was extremely hyperbolic given how many elite DBs we've put into the league the past 20 years. You would be hard pressed to say Greedy was definitively better in college than Peterson, Claiborne, Mathieu, or even Corey Webster. Basically, Greedy has a whole lot of company at LSU if we're talking best DB
