Ive noticed that every player that leaves LSU for pro ball goes to Marucci, plus the founder is the head trainer. Whats the hold up? Are we under a contract with Demarini?

They will go with who offers the best deal. Obviously not Marucci to date.

However Marucci can work on the players they want while they are at LSU and get them to use their products when they leave.

The players choose the bats. Marucci's wood bats aren't the same as their aluminum. For whatever reason the players chose Demarini.

Because CPM gets a FAT handout for using Demarini.

wood bats MLB uses are far superior to their aluminum bat
It's a tough market to go up against Easton, LS, DeMarini, etc. and all the capital and goodwill they already have

Give it time, Marucci might make a dent over time.
Focus on the kids leagues first.
Problem with that is their little league bats are priced way too high.

You've obviously never used one of their metal bats.

The problem was that their first bat on the market couldn't last 10 swings without the cap flying off.

I have. Its far from trash.

And their contract with Demarini is too legit for Marucci to overtake.

Probably to avoid issues with the Code of Governmental Ethics.

Prohibits a public employee (compensated or not) or any legal entity they (and their immediate family) own more than 25% of from contracting with their agency.

Also prohibits a public employee from working for and receiving money from a legal entity that contracts with the public employee's agency.

I've heard from someone who is a baseball coach and previously worked at Marucci that their wood bats are top of the line and their aluminum bats are behind others.

Marucci wood bats are premium quality and used all over the MLB.
Their BBcore are fairly new to the market, but in time it will balance out. Easton and TPX have dominated the market for so long, so it's tough on anyone new coming up.
Their softball line is coming up as well.

Marucci BBCOR bats are great. Used them all throughout high school. IMHO, Demarini is the best option for BBCOR but Marucci is gaining major speed to the top.

Easton has fallen off the chart with the move to BBCOR

I'm pretty sure the real answer to this question is because Marrucci is still employed by LSU, so that is a conflict of interest.

Otherwise, LSU would have that M plastered all over The Box...and for good reason. Marrucci will be a great recruiting tool for LSU.
