Everything Denbrock has ran (last year too) is from the shotgun. No QB sneak, FB dive, he toss. We have a great tight end room (Taylor, Markway, and Pimpton.) This team on paper looks made to be a redzone nightmare. It really appalled me to see this team not be able to punch the ball in the end zone on multiple possessions.

At least run a Tim Tebow fake and toss it up to one of the big men

My guess, they don't practice it.

We actually were pretty solid with our redzone offense last year. 86% score rate with 72% of the time being TDs. Could have been the lack of push up front with the run game but we were definitely off compared to what we saw last year near the endzone.

because it's more efficient standing 3-5 yards backwards to go forward 1 yard, duh

Oh god!

Now people are literally going to want them to run the toss dive

I completely agree with you about going to more of a power formation such as the I in short yardage situations. Who knows, but had we been able to punch those two in earlier in the game, it might’ve been a different outcome

Going under center or using I formation occasionally for short yard & goal line situations doesn't equal wanting to run dive tosses you idiot.

Yeah you can run a lot of things out of the I formation. There is a reason it was used for as long as it was in both college and the NFL

“I agree we should have a QB sneak in the playbook “

Florida State snuck it last night.

It's still used a lot in the NFL because of the flexibility of potential play calls & it's effectiveness.
