Infallible Chicken, it is what we are this year. That being said, I like Cotton.

Those low standard MA's love them some S.E.C. 6th!

Pumpers have no problem with it. "We'll be Fine."

Buttock smooching excuse making cheerleaders. They're all Stuart Smalley's. "And that's OK."

Losing to Clemson last year is one thing, but if we lost to Duke....ouch.

dunno if it'll necessarily be Duke, but the point isn't about the matchup this year; most people seem to be opposed to going on principle which is what I don't get

It wasn't long ago that people were griping about going to the Cotton Bowl, remember? Now they are practically begging for the Cotton Bowl. And the program isn't headed in the wrong direction?

So you want to play Baylor instead? Or are u thinking it will be Texas playing to save Mack Brown's job.
Actually that may be interesting, since I think Saban will go to Texas after the next season.

I hate Atlanta. Not a big Dallas fan either. Give me something new!

I traveled to Vegas and San Diego in the last year. An LSU bowl experience in those places would be awesome. What happened to the free market?

I do not disagree with this.

1) Been there...done that.
2) Don't really like the Georgia Dome.
3) Downtown Atlanta sucks.
4) I can get Chick-fil-A without driving 7 hours.
5) Have to drive through Gumpville and don't like the smell.

It's purely financial/economical for me. Atlanta gets the SEC Championship in football and also an SEC team in the Chicken bowl. Personally the SEC Championship should be alternated by an SEC East state and an SEC West state. Hell, why not make it New Orleans and Atlanta alternating so the towns can both rake in the money. Why does only Atlanta get the spoils? Atlanta gets too much money already from all the other SEC states/cities...share the wealth. So that's the reason I don't like LSU going to the Chicken bowl..too much Louisiana money spent in Atlanta.

This, but remember the SECG started out in Birmingham.

As a ticket holder, I've ordered bowl game tickets every year since really online ordering started. Sometimes I go, sometimes I cannot and I just sell the tix for face value. Last year's Chik-Fil-A I sold for well under 30% of face. So this year, I went down the order form and selected all available that LSU may end up in EXCEPT the Chik-Fil-A. I will never buy another ticket to that bowl again. It's over with.

If Alleva and company accept another invite to that shite bowl in the next 5 years, I guarantee that not only we can't sell anywhere near our allotment, but the Ga Dome will be 80% OTHER TEAM'S FANS.

The Chik-Fil-A bowl market for LSU fans is oversaturated, for probably at least a decade or more. If you're reading this, Joe A - a polite heads up: The fanbase is sick of Atlanta. Go anywhere but there, taking lesser bowls if you must. Atlanta is done.

This. Chick-fil-A bowl means we're mediocre and supposed to be happy with it. And when we get overlooked by a bigger bowl (cotton last year) and end up back there, it sucks even more. It seems like we end up there in good and bad years and can't escape it. The players didnt even want to be there and it showed.

My dissatisfaction is not even that it's a symbol of mediocrity. It's the fact that the athletic dept obviously has very little respect for this fanbase if it blindly accepts this invite every year. I'd rather be in the Outback or Music City bowl than the Chik, even if it's a shittier bowl. No aspect of LSU, from coaches to players to fans, wants anything to do with this bowl for a pretty good while. Maybe if we'd have taken another invite last year, then you could put us in the Chik-Fil-A again this year. But by taking that horrible game last year, they broke it. Financial suicide awaits all parties by putting LSU in this bowl again in the foreseeable future.

I hate LSU in that bowl for selfish reasons. Every time we're in that game, I have a hangover from hell the day of the game.

To me it's:
1. NC
2. Sugar
3. Cotton
4. Citrus (Cap One)
5. Peach (chik-fil-a)

Send Ole Miss to the ATL to play Duke. Call it the Chardonnay Bowl.

I think LSU fans are seriously deserving of a trip to Florida. But that's just me. Cotton's great, but LSU has been to the Jerry Dome a bunch — plus we're headed back to Texas in September. Send the Tigers east!
