Watching Orange Bowl postgame. All these mentions “you beat Alabama, you beat Clemson, both perennial powers”, Alabama I get. But I don’t get why Clemson always gets treated as some dynasty and LSU is never mentioned.

Clemson has been to 4 of the 8 college football playoffs. They last time they won less than 10 games was 2010.

No, similar points were made consistently all year long. Specifically in this game it was brought up by at least three people throughout the night.

During the game they did mention Tennessee trouncing of LSU. I believe those were the words they used.

I missed that then, but trouncing is a good way to put it. Just found it interesting.

I thought that was their most impressive win of the year until tonight when you take into account hooker being out.

When LSU beats Bama on a regular basis & becomes “King of the SEC” then they’ll be mentioned regularly

Otherwise, LSU gets mentioned only when they play Bama or reach the SECCG

I mean only second to bama in titles in the past 20 years.

We just happen to have them in our division. Where Clemson has FSU.

Noted.

But they also didn’t have a 2020 and 2021 like we did. I dunno, I guess it’s what have you done for me lately.

Some of you are so sensitive. Maybe because LSU was a .500 team 3 seasons ago and 6-7 last year, and has laid 2 eggs in the last 2 games of this season. This year they exceeded expectations but you can’t really think that lsu needs to be mentioned with the perennial top teams base on the past 3 years.

It’s still 10 games. We have lost to teams, in the last few years, who would have been 500 in the ACC.
