Well, I wish we could go back in time so you could listen to Baton Rouge sports talk radio circa 1994.
Or 1998 or 1999.
NegaTigers have always been there.
Expect us.

A lot of us moved out of state for more job opportunities.

True that the ACC hates the SEC and I hear about it when we lose to a non-conference team but that is rare. Of course I don't act like an a-hole when we're winning either .... Something to be said for quiet confidence.

Texas is a different story ... They're assholes whether they win or lose.

We are more objective. You are too close to the situation to be completely objective. You see Miles on local media more and are more sympathetic to him. It is a psychological thing.
I completely disagree with this and the OP. It seems pretty much the opposite, at least in my experience.
I have 2 degrees from LSU, havent lived in LA for a decade, and myself and all of my friends that moved OOS are all huge supporters of Miles and tend to lean the pumper mentality.
Part of it is breathing room, we aren't surrounded by LSU football 24/7, or the idiots that make up the local "media" that literally make a living stirring shite up. At least the national media covers far more ground and only mention us in passing. Those local losers spend every waking moment of their lives figuring out ways to get their articles posted on boards like these.
Also, it provides perspective. I've lived in cities and states doomed to support truly bad Big 10, ACC, Big 12, and even other SEC programs. I've also spent ample time in Pac 12 country, though I haven't lived there for an extended time. It makes one understand the meaning of mediocrity, and LSU simply does not fit the bill in comparison.
Many of those schools boast the same winning tradition, fertile recruiting ground, limitless budgets and excellent facilities, and even hired big time coaches that were supposed to be the answer. Those schools have wallowed in the mire for years, and I for one am thankful to have witnessed it up close so that I can truly appreciate the last 16 years as an LSU fan.

So why do it? They, like you, can't be very bright to take the time and money to do something they don't enjoy.
Maybe because no matter where we live, the expectations of the team, or whether or not we are predicted to win or get blown out, we are willing to make the trip to BR to support our Tigers.
I love Tiger Stadium, it was one of the highlights during my 4 years on campus. I want to be in that stadium every weekend in the fall no matter what.

Bet you I would and another thing it takes a really low character person to shite on their home state. If you trying to find out I'll be in LOUISIANA.

I don't know if we're negative posters, but I do think that we see the program more objectively. We see how big of a goon Les is and hear it from other fans. People That live in La have no idea how much we have to deal with the fans of other teams laughing and making fun of us. Everyone says we have a great team with an awful coach that refuses to recruit a QB. The grass eating, picking his ear and nose and inability to speak an understandable sentence embarrass the state. We have to hear it, not people from the state.

Some of us native "Louisianians" that graduated from LSU had sense enough to leave the s-hole state by choice and some had to leave to find decent jobs.
Many of us are not Lumps (LSU Gumps that have no life outside of worshipping the football team) and have other things that we're interested in as well.
Life is good in the Plejares System.
We truly feel sorry for all those that choose to remain in the "Unlivable" city that BR has evolved into just so they can be close to LSU.

What are you basing this on? Some of the folks that have wanted him gone the long live on Baton Rouge. And I see plenty of pumpers from out of state.
Just been my observation from following the posts for years and years on here. And judging from the replies in this thread it seems like a lot of the out of state posters have acknowledged it and provided very good and rational reasons for it.
Of course numerically there are probably more negative posters from within the state because I'd venture to say that the vast majority of overall rant posters live here.

I live in Louisiana and would easily be called "negative" by the pumpers.

OP I live and work in Alabama. I have a manager that's a Bama fan who has repeatedly told me he "Loves Him Some Les Miles". I told him the other day that when Saban leaves on his own terms they could pursue Miles. His response " He'll No We Don't Want Him Running Bama Program". His point was Miles is a great speaker toying with the media and very comic to listen too but they are not interested in another Shula hire to run the program. Outside of the state living in Bama and Charlotte NC for 1e years Mes is perceived as a clown who enjoys living on the edge of defeat to fulfill his high in winning in a miracle fashion.
I quit listening to Miles years ago. I acknowledge he has done very well at LSU and lead LSU through some tough times outside of football. He is a great ambassador for LSU I admitt. However, he has sucked the life out of the program and it is no longer fun to watch anymore when we actually have to compete with talented teams. He is not getting the job done when you seperate the men from the boys on the football field. I have not looked but I am willing to bet over the last several years he has not beaten a very good football team. It's time to turn the chapter and give the reigns to someone else. Who that may be but I know one thing for certain never in the history of any program is there a good time to hire a coach. Great programs make great hires then consistently evaluate the hire to see if they are progressing and if they do stick with or go back to the well again. LSU canapé a great hire if they are committed to winning no matter the cost.

You can't see the forest thru the trees.

"We" may be more negative because our sports coverage isn't LSU-centric and we can assess situations without hometown loyalty bias.
