The question with MVB will be how many of his issues are scheme/playcalling vs his abilities.
He's a talented kid, and people forget that he is a true sophomore who received subpar coaching this year. Last year, he played well for a true freshman and has a ton of potential.
Kiffin will evaluate him and make determinations, and I think he is at least a solid #2 for a game or two, if needed, as long as the right playcalling/blocking scheme are in place. All that said, LSU should get a more ready QB in the portal.

Because MVB has been unimpressive too. He played pretty well against Arkansas, but sliding or running out of bounds before the 1st down marker, skipping balls to guys and not running for a potential TD and throwing a bad pick instead won't endear you to the fan base or coaches.
Now, I'm sure he could play significantly better with better coaching, play calling and better play around him, but he's not there yet either way

Also a thing to remember is that everyone was excited about Atkins coming in to help the offense, but both he and Sloan were atrocious OCs.
Without Jordan Travis, Atkins teams were downright awful at FSU. He even found a way to make DJU look atrocious after he showed significant improvement at freaking Oregon State the year before.
Atkins is simply not a good coach and is almost a Curly Hallman copy with Jordan Travis playing the Brett Favre part.
Sloan is self-explanatory. He was atrocious as an OC before LSU, was going to be demoted at LaTech because of that and went to LSU instead as QB coach and road Daniels' coat tails. The more he controlled and moved LSU's offense away from what Denbrock ran, the more awful it got. See the end of last year and the entirety of this year.

MVB would be better with kiffin. Probably even a serviceable sec qb. But kiffin could probably pull a qb with heisman potential out of the portal ,once he gets in his system.

We didnt see this guy under Kiffin as well. His name is Montana Murphy. He is an Associate Wealth Advisor with Beacon Pointe and lives in Dallas Texas.
He was also an Alabama QB for two years when Kiffin was there. Maybe he was better than Chambliss too?

If VB equals Nuss performance in the Bowl game as either of Nuss' performance in Bowls. That includes the SEC Championship game vs Georgia, the best Defense in the NCAA at that time.

MVB may be on the Kiffin scout team. Have you ever noticed who plays QB for Kiffin? If he has nothing else, he will have a really good to great QB.
