Why does everyone think it's impossible for us to lose to TCU?

Let's review:

-They are #20 in the nation, we are #12.
-We are 4 point favorites and trust me- Vegas knows more than you.
-They beat two Top 25 teams last year.
-They play in a major BCS conference.
-LSU struggled in openers against unranked UNC and Washington in recent years.

Am I saying TCU is going to win? Certainly not. Are we better than them at almost every position? Most likely. But this game isn't a slam dunk. Many of you act like we're playing a directional state school and if we don't win by 30+ then we're doomed to a 7-6 season.

I still think we win but it's the first game of the year with a new OC and tons of new faces on defense. It's going to be sloppy and frustating at times, so temper your expectations a little. We aren't winning 56-0.

Les is 8-0 in openers, and that includes some tough games on the road.

LSU hasn't scored under 30 in an opener under Les.

There ya geaux.

We will win this game by more than 10 points. While they are a well coached ranked team, they can't keep up with us at any position. Agreed anything is possible, but if our offense establish the run early, we roll.

Now that I've straightened out the Rant for good, I'm going back to bed. See you in December.

Our state motto is Union, Justice, Confidence not Union, Justice, Pussy-Footing. That's why.

For the same reason those same people claimed no way we would lose to Clemson I guess.

TCU is a worthy opponent

When did LSU struggle against Washington? Missed that. On the road, still beat em pretty good. They scored late to make it look not terrible.

I have seen NOBODY say this.

I hope so and could see it happening but don't think it's a given.

I said this against Washington and North Carolina too.

Just looking at the talent level. TCU has an offensive line with 28 total starts between them and none of them was more than a 3 star recruit. They have their best player presumably not playing. We out weigh their defensive line with our oline by 35lbs a man. We should man-handle this team. I have no clue why the spread is so low but I'll give anyone TCU and 4 pts. Just message me, we can bet whatever you want.

It is not impossible. Anything is possible. LSU was losing at half to TOWSON. Let me say that again...LSU was losing at half to TOWSON. I think we win but it will be close. My only hope is that it doesn't come down to us having to hit a field goal beyond 40 yards. If there is one area of the team I have ZERO confidence in, it's the kicking game.

Anything is possible. Just highly unlikely. LSU could implode with a ton of turnovers and drive killing penalties. That would keep it real close or a possible loss. I think TCU is a decent team and will play with LSU for a half. LSU's depth and just overall talent will win out in the end. With zero mistakes I see a rather easy win.

I just don't think TCU is ready for LSU's power run game. People seem to discredit this style in favor of high scoring spread offensive schemes. But i haven't seen a spread offense orientated team yet have a defense that effectively stops the run attack by LSU and by the third quarter they are done and LSU starts to roll. On offense i think TCU may get a few quick scores in but once our D starts rocking him every couple of plays their quaterback gets inaccurate and we start seeing three and outs.

Nothing is a given... #2michigan lost to fcs App State not that long ago.

People are confident, and we should be. TCU is a fine team but we are better at damn near every position, hence the confidence.
