Final ranking #6 - #7 and 10 wins against a killer schedule. One hell of a job by O & staff. Lower that bar, bitch!

What on earth are you talking abou? LSU ended up ranked 6th. At this point ESPN has LSU 4th in their power rankings. With a 32% chance of making the playoffs.
The roster has been rebuilt. Th QB room has been rebuilt to a level we have not seen since we had Jamarcus and Flynn.
It is irrational to expect that we beat Bama year after year. Especially when our roster on the line of scrimmage had deteriorated so badly. We are still below average on the line of scrimmage especially on Offense

That is total bullshite. The projections were based upon us losing about 90% of our offensive production from the previous year: Etling, Guice, Chark, Gage, Williams, etc and not having an established quarterback, proven running back and an inexperienced WR corp. Then, there was the offseason attrition on the O-line plus playing two preseason Top 10 teams in the first two weeks, not to mention having UGa as our other cross division game.
If you want to make up shite, do it somewhere else.

That’s not true. Before they signed Burrow 7-5/6-6 was very reasonable especially if you thought Miami was going to be good. There’s no way they win 10 games with out Burrow.

I tend to agree with you. LSU is coming of a #6/7 national finish and is going to be highly ranked going into the season. With those expectations, how is the bar being lowered NOW? I got it when people were upset that O campaigned for the job by pushing continuity only later to talk about needing to restock/rebuild (SFP was a frequent poster who did a good job stating this position). But O is now going into a season in which he will rely largely on players he recruited (either as frosh or transfers) AND with high expectations.

He had just taken the 2nd NFL draft picks in all of cfb with easiest schedule in over a decade and lost 4 games( including a mid major).
The lack of respect preseason was solely on coaching. EVERY SINGLE SITE that gets paid to evaluate talent has lsu as no worse than the 7th most talented team in cfb.

We played 4 p5 teams that were good enough to not lose 5 games.
We were 1-3.
