When anti O posters talk about his Bama record, why do they ignore 2017?
LSU put up a great fight that day with an immensely inferior roster

Beat them in the trenches, outschemed them offensively, actually moved the ball

That product vs Bama looked eons better than the stale product miles put on field vs the tide

They still lost the game. What’s so hard to understand?

And then fired the guy responsible for that.

Holy shit, are we now lowering the bar to “they actually showed up to the game!”

The main reason we were competitive that game (Canada) is gone, and he was replaced with a guy who’s scored a goose egg in 8 combined quarters at home against Bama. Also, we lost. I’m pretty sure people bring it up when they mention the 0-3 record.

So it’s not important that LSU looked good that day?

All that matters is win/loss?

So you would be happy if the team went 0-12 but "put up a good fight" each game?

No, it’s really about having fun and competing. As long as Orgeron can fog a glass, he’s good enough.

win every single game 3-0 and you’re undefeated, national champs.

lose every single game 54-50 and you’re winless and firing people.

Because they don't yet believe the games are rigged.

Probably because he fired the architect of that buzzsaw offense you’re glowing about.

Depends who you ask.

Our recently fired AD would tell you it’s not all about winning.

Most of the fans, students and alumni would tell you winning is first and foremost, and everything else is secondary (with respect to athletics).

re: When anti O posters talk about his Bama record, why do they ignore 2017?
Why do pro O posters accept mediocracy and lower the bar for him? We may have been anti O when he was hired for a job he wasn't qualified for but we all want LSU to make the playoffs, win the conference and national championships but why shouldnt we be critical when they continue to under perform, lose 3 games a year and play down to the level of competition?
