Why do we allow visiting bands to take the field?

Will never understand why we allow the opposing band to take the field at halftime

Is that not common?

Tradition? Was that way during my time at LSU in the 80s.

Most schools allow the band to take the field if they brought the whole band

I don’t know why other fanbases can post on the Rant but we can’t post on their team pages

It’s supposed to entertain the fans. Been going on since the beginning of time.

TGBFTL does the same at one SEC away game every year. It's college football, dude, chill out.

When Grambling and ATM bring a band, you let them play. It’s worth watching

Opposing bands used to always take the field. Now it’s reserved for special bands. I’m assuming you are referring to A&M. Their band is great and I will always want to see them when they are in Tiger Stadium.

I've never in ALL OF MY YEARS IN TIGER STADIUM, seen a FULL visiting band not go on the field at half-time.
That's what they made the trip for. Ya think they made the trip to LSU to just sit in the stadium and not perform?
For about the last 10 years or so, the visiting band had the more entertaining show as well!
I assume (Don't Know) that the great Fighting Aggie Band was in TS Saturday and performed another awesome drill.

Full bands march at halftime everywhere. Pep bands do not march.

If we're going to let those dancing milkmen on the field, we might as well let the band play.

I enjoyed the soldier band but, TGBFTL doing the heisman pose was the tits.

It’s customary and has always been done. Why not? Each band does halftime although visitors could opt out if they wish. Courtesy and respect.
