They are there to take a selfie and acquire the requisite social media cachet. Then they leave to drink and bellyache about equality before the expected railing and sucking. Most don't actually care about the game, the school, tradition, winning, or competition generally. Soft bitches. Sadly, much of the stadium isn't any better.

Game is over by 9:30 or so. They are on campus anyway. Where are they trying to get to at 8pm? When I was in school, the after game parties wouldn't start till .... after the game.

Is there some place on campus better to be on a Saturday night than inside Tiger Stadium for a football game? You have around 30 other weekends of the year on campus to be anywhere else. Only 6-7 a year to be inside Death Valley. Why just stay there for the first half?

Where are you going?

They are leaving to spank the monkey.

In all honesty, I skipped the game to go get laid. But i didn't leave early, so I guess it doesn't apply to me. Subtle brag post

They get bored easily. Short attention span. They leave to go to the bars and house parties. Social events>>>>>football for a lot of them.

Tv timeouts and the slowed pace of the game probably don't help much either.

When I was in school drinking age was 18 and bringing liquor into the stadium was easy . We drank and stayed the whole game but so would our dates . I was surprised how empty student section was yesterday but I was also surprised how bad the product on the field was

On the occasions I left early as a student, it was usually Bc I drank heavily pregame and once that wore off I was starting to feel like shite. Or Bc I was sober and didn't want to be so left to go drink. A few times my gf and I left early Bc we were horny.

Speaking as a student, I'm sure most students who leave early go to Tigerland to get drunk and all that. My friends and I stayed the whole game this Saturday, but we left at the end of the 3rd in the Chattanooga game because we're avid college football fans in general and that was the week that was LOADED with awesome night games. We decided to watch the fourth quarters of those games than stay and watch a blowout while dealing with other students' drunkenness and annoyance

LSU football and its traditions simply don't mean anything to them.
That's exactly why the overall atmosphere in Tiger Stadium has declined so rapidly in the last 5-10 years or so.

Students don't give a shite and all the newbie "Wine & Cheeser's" that are given free "Corporate" tickets don't give a shite.

They didn't attend the University and have no real connection to the school or the football team.

They apparently have better things to do and are out of there at half-time. It's a Mass Exodus of "It's my money and my ticket and I'll do what I damn well please" arrogant Cheeser freaks departing for parts unknown.

The LSUAD DG's can take the blame for most of it.........

The main reason anyone is in college in today's world is to get drunk, frick random people, and party their asses off.
Doesn't speak well for the caliber of college students as a whole. Thankfully there are exceptions. Somewhere. Tell me there are exceptions. Please.

2. Guys trying to get laid or forced to leave with said girls above.

This pretty much ended up happening to me when I was a student. Single me went to every game and stayed for the alma mater.

Once I was in a relationship my gf insisted she wanted to go to games with me. So I took her along. Then she'd want to leave as soon as it looked like the outcome of the game was fairly certain.... to go back to the apartment and lay in bed watching TV.

In the end I just stopped getting tickets because it felt pointless.

Not defending the students, but the student section typically fills up long before the rest of the stadium.

The stadium is just as empty as the student section if not more so most games.
