Why do people assume Daniels won’t be here next year?

I mean he hasn’t shown he’s NFL ready. Where else is he going?

He can be and won’t be the starter. He is nothing

He has to stay if he wants to play in the NFL.

Nice. Seemed like the board thought he was gone after this year

Meh...I'm not super excited about a guy that's been starting 3 years already and still has no pocket awareness, can't read a defense, and only throws to guys if they're completely open. I think he's struggling with learning a new offense but his passes have been very off the mark. His deep balls are nowhere near on-target. He doesn't throw anything in the middle of the field. We're very limited so far with him as the QB. Man, 80 yards passing is just terrible and doesn't create a lot of confidence in the guy.

A reporter that covered him in college gave an interview on Baton Rouge radio after he transferred. The reporter was supposedly close to his mother who is guiding career. She stated his goal was to start for a year and give the pros a try. He has his degree and will now have started for four years. I personally don’t see him as an NFL QB but I think that is where this chatter originated.

Hope he’ll be here as a WR or RB.

This X 1000.

Daniels is what he is. If he returns next season, you can expect more of the same. He's got 40+ starts under his belt. He's not going to suddenly become a better passer. The offense is very limited with him under center. People bitching about Denbrock's offense being boring and predictable need to remember what he's working with at QB. No offense to JD, but I hope he's not starting next season.

Maybe for the Saints, but not for a real NFL team.

But that’s just it. He does NOT throw to guys that are completely wide open. He seems to be seeing them in a number of cases but for whatever reason doesn’t pull the trigger. AU qb looked light years ahead of him and just as fast…….an he couldn’t beat out Finley!!!

Finley would have thrown for over 500 yards last night.

He can be here all he wants but it will be backup to Walker Howard. I don’t even see there being a competition next year. The kid is that good with one of the fastest releases you will ever see.

Yeah a guy with 80 yards passing against Auburn would be insane to consider the draft.
