Because they think they’re fancy and rich if they wear them. It’s mostly sorority girls that do. it also goes along with their same concept of the Grove…fancy chandeliers for their fancy tailgating that they think is so luxurious.

They’ve never truly left the plantation and I don’t know why some folks can’t see this about them. You’ll never see Ole Miss have a rapper like Boosie on campus much less playing his music in the stadium..

Fraternity and Sororities in the 90s at LSU wore that to games. I still see some of it now. Not as prevalent as back then though.
