In the 80s we played each other every year in a big non-conference early season matchup.

But, main reason I hate A&M is I know a lot of them. Lived in Houston 15 years and worked with, churched with, dated some Aggie girls, etc. They are off.

One I dated was beautiful , but she was a hardcore Aggie. As in, multi-generational, her initials spelled AGG, she would cry every time she talked to me about Aggie Muster, and bonfires. It was too much. My mind would fast forward to us having kids and her demanding they go to school in College Station. To heck with all that shite.


We'll hate Texass too, but it'll be different.

I had many Texas relatives and lived there a while. Never had a dog in the fight, but you live in Texas, you “have to pick a side”. My family always pulled for the burnt orange and we told “Aggie jokes” instead of polack jokes. Also, they’re Fkin weird and sort of bring it on themselves. I hated aTm since the 80’s and it’s never waned. So much of their schtick is wanna be, try hard stuff. So much has a “aww, that’s cute. Good for you” feel to it. The overtime cups were pathetic.

Though they are a weird cult, I don't think about them at all.

LSU and aTm folks are more similar than they are different. It's fun to hate on the quirks, but if the world went to shite, they would make good allies.

It's easy to hate them, they are one of the most delusional fanbases in the world. I live an hour south of San Antonio and just by hearing them talk about A&M you would swear that the school has at least a dozen national championships in every major sport. Also, the gay spastic synchronized dancing and chanting from a group of guys all dressed up the same just puts an easy target on them.
