Why do LSU fans think they know more about seeding than D1 Baseball and other CB analysts?

Title says it all. Genuinely kinda confused about the absolutely insanity in response to D1 having us as the current 7 seed.

Why do people believe D1 is gospel truth? They make shite up as they go along just as much as any other outlet. They had us as a 2 seed last week then had us as a 7 seed this week using logic that we got swept by Auburn when last week they had us ahead of Auburn so wtf difference did that make this past weekend

Well, when D1 has LSU as #2 in their projections last week and moves LSU to #7 this week after a road series win, I think it’s logical for anyone to at least scratch your head.
I’m not mad about it, but it does make for interesting discussion…. Which is obviously taking place. And is exactly what they want, which I don’t necessarily blame them for.
To make it more confusing for the casual fan that doesn’t really follow polls/projections and know the D1 poll and tourney projections are completely separate things)… that same entity D1 will have LSU ranked #1 in its own poll tomorrow… lol

Well for one, Kendall thinks we will be higher. He responded to somebody saying that. Their rankings are based on what they think the committee will do.

IMO, college baseball polls are basically irrelevant. They reflect only what a small group of folks think. LSU is almost always overrated in them based on our reputation. D1 is as good as any of them, but it is the NCAA Committee who makes the seeding call.
Based on our RPI and placement on the SEC, I see us getting a #6 or #7 seed. Might be higher IF we can win a couple of games in the SEC Ty.

Here’s why: too many supposed objective metrics for determining qualification and seeding are not objectively formulated.
For instance, competition has no control over SOS.
In the end selection is a subjective process. So there are always discrepancies, mistakes, and incorrect evaluations. We’re adults, so we accept it.

You lost me when you said D1. Most of us hard core baseball fans do know more than the above. Most other CB analyst too. They do what we do (minus D1), cause frick Kendall Rogers and his Faggie loving arse. That dude will write anything to make arse&M look good
