He doesn't come across as the most articulate guy. And this season was poor--I thought the coaching staff could have put the team in a better position to win.

I'll say this is he is a jerk then I'm glad we have him. I don't think of him as a jerk at all. I can't recall us having a coach that will stick with his principles as well as coach Miles.
Maybe Saban stuck with his principles when at LSU but that was a complete different situation. He had to run the program and not let a bunch of no nothings run things. That is one of the best things that Saban did when here.
One of the great things about Miles is if you play or work for him you know he has your back. Can you say that about most any other coach. There are very few exceptions in his profession that can say that.

I have many frieds that are fans of other SEC schoos. They all like Miles. I do not think you have the true facts when making these statements. Everything I have heard is the opposite, at least from people who aren't complete a-holes.

Who says Miles is a jerk? What was said by whom? You can find a couple fans of any program to say anything. The Ole Miss board could right now have a thread entitled "Why Do Louisiana People Hate The Mannings?"

The Ar-Kansas remark was blown out of proportion.
I have friends in mid-western Arkansas and they call themselves Ar-Kansans.
They told me that this is the way it was originally pronounced and still should be.

Living in the Houston area, I can tell you that every serious ATM fan I've talked to despises Miles. There was some rumor awhile back (pre-LSU)that Miles somehow lied to recruits &/or players about something. Several of my ATM coworkers actually call him "Lies" Miles & constantly say Les has no integrity. They say Les would NEVER be selected to be the ATM coach because of his lack of integrity. Anyone know the details behind this rumor?

I have never understood why it is okay for Meyer, Carroll and Stoops to routinely run up the score by leaving starters in and not paring back the offensive calls but its not okay for Miles to do it in bowl games. He always calls off the dogs against the in-season powderpuffs when the other guys are out to embarass, pad stats, run up the score, etc.
If you are playing in a bowl game against LSU, you should be able to bring it or you probably didn't deserve to be in that big of a game (that's for you Miami, ND, Ohio St and GT).

That's what's so frustrating about talking to the ATM guys. I keep asking them about why they hate Les but nothing real specific except that he just lies. I guess they just hate every coach associated with any program other than theirs.
