Can’t imagine why we didn’t let our WRs throw passes. Why didn’t we let our lineman run the ball? Why not let our punter play safety? Why not let the QB play linebacker? Why not put Trindon at DE?

First off, you have to have a head coach that would allow such a thing and secondly an OC with the creativity to make it happen. LSU had neither.

LSU was decimated by 2011,12,13 Early Departures after the NFLPA CBA in 2010 and the failure to win the NC in 2011. Miles could not restock fast enough and a decline set in. Look at the key departures before 2013: 9 UnderClassmen, including Russell Shepard, Mingo, Montgomery, Edwards, Reid, Simon, Wing....That decimated the last of the GOC Defense.
Landry & Beckham said the OL was so bad that they could not keep Mett upright long enough to throw a pass.

Why Russell Shepherd never threw a single pass at LSU is baffling to me.
He would have killed it on a little end around option pass.

Agree with your point but Russell Shepard did not declare early. He played all 4 years.
