It seems some of our fan base are very critical of our current QB. He is the best QB option we have, the coaches made the decision based on what they see everyday at practices and we as fans witnessed in real games. Let’s support the young man and give him the confidence to lead this team.

The problem people have is that we have some special receivers that are open. I feel bad for Daniels that he can’t pull the trigger and get it to them. I think he’s a good guy and I pull for him but he’s just not capable of running a basic passing system for whatever reason.

Pointing out areas where he needs to improve doesn't mean that we don't want him to succeed. I agree that he's probably the best option we've got, but you're crazy if you think that his deficiencies at reading opposing defenses and/or finding open receivers isn't going to cost us at some point.

I agree,it is ridiculous how much flack this kid is getting, for Chris sake he was playing in his 3rd game, with a whole cast of new characters.
It time to realize that Daniels is our qb and will be for the rest of the season.

3rd game or not, Daniels' issues have nothing to do with our offense or our WRs. If he can't make anticipatory throws at this point, he never will. He is not a freshman and has started a lot of games.

He's started 30+ games. It's a large enough sample size to get a good idea of what he's good at and what he's not so good at. Can he improve, sure, but by and large he is what he is. We have to use his strengths to our advantage and hide his weaknesses as best we can.

Nobody ever criticized Johnson? Of course they did and every other QB we have had. This is a silly post

The guy almost doubled their scoring output. He put 31 on the Bulldogs veteran defense. 21 in the 4th quarter alone!
He received the game ball from one of the best in the business last night. I dont think Daniels gives 1 shite about the negativity in here.

I wonder how much of that love, Leach and Rogers III are receiving this morning in Starkville. Since they both see the entire field so much more clearly than our little track guy.

Daniel’s is the answer right now. He is not the long term answer

He is a one read guy. Does not have an accurate arm.

As the offensive line matures. Our other QB alternatives come into play.

Cannot beat Alabama with this.

The defense is clearly good enough to make most of our games winnable.

As Kelly said stay with the program This can be a really good football team in November.

This times a thousand.

Daniels is a different QB when we run tempo. The FSU game showed how much better he was when did, and when we eventually did it last night, it woke the entire offense up. There are going to be times in a game where its impractical to do this, but to not run a modified hurry up offense until the second half Saturday was lazy.

As for improvement, I'm not sure you can fix the sideline throw accuracy, but as game reps in Denbrock's system increases, I would expect his timing would improve which should result in better accuracy overall.

This. It was very frustrating seeing him tuck and run most of the first half when he shook that habit after the 1st drive against Southern. He got better in the 2nd half eventually, but still wasn't anything special passing the ball. We just have great receivers.

The trick going forward will be for the coaches to get him to trust the receivers earlier in games. Our defense will keep us in a lot of games but it will harken back to the Les Miles days of hoping that your QB can click before time runs out.

We know what we have in Daniels now. Good enough to win SEC games. Makes plays when it counts. Better than what we usually have.

I think we just haven’t had a good dual threat QB in a long time.

correct.

But Daniels does a lot of things well, so if the staff thinks he's our best option, they need to tailor the offense to fit Daniels' skill set. Up tempo, short passing game. Roll Daniels' out to buy more time and give him the option to run or throw.

Daniels make numerous big plays each game with his legs and he's also good on short throws, so lets design our offensive scheme around that.

He can do a better job of finding his receivers when they're open, but he's played better each week. I have confidence he will continue to improve. I also have confidence that we would have lost with either of our other quarterbacks.

I do not consider him to be dual threat. Threat is a strong word when it comes to our passing game.

This is LSU. There is always a been this love hate with the starting QB. Love the backup and hate the starter when he plays badly. The backup is always better until they are the one under center having to dodge the bullets.

When Hodson was QB there were people that were adamant that Mickey Guidry was better. Other QB drama: Booty-Davey and Flynn -Russell. There were people before the 2019 season that felt Brennan should have started over Burrow. Burrow shut the talk down early and had one of the greatest seasons ever by a college QB, but if Joe had struggled in 2019 there would have been a faction clamoring for Brennan.

People that didn't want Daniels before are going to bash him every time he makes a mistake. Unfortunately for Daniels haters Nuss has shown enough bad to scare the hell out of people.

At the end of the day, Daniels has the support of the coaches and teammates and that's really all that matters.

I like Daniel’s. He is tough, a great runner and seems to be a leader. Only problem is his accuracy and that he fails to see open receivers. Can he improve on this? Let’s hope so. Time will tell. Unless Nuss improves greatly, Daniel’s is our best option.
