Or, if necessary, LSU could name him Co-Coordinator with a sizable salary increase. If Slinger leaves it will be his choice.
Orgeron is not kicking E to the curb.

Coach O asked about final call between Ensminger and Brady:
"They're both on the headsets. Steve makes the final call, but sometimes Joe makes the call. It's all up to Steve.
Steve makes about 90% of the calls."

It's clear what's gone on with this offense this year is due to Brady.

If Ensminger could do this, we would've seen some evidence of it last season. Brady wasn't brought in because Ensminger was doing a bang-up job.

I wonder how much of the offensive shift in philosophy is due to what Brady has brought to the table or versus O and E having a QB who they actually trust to sling the ball, especially in crunch time?

why didn't we do anything close to this last year ?

E said he had never run an uptempo spread before so you decide

Brady was brought on because Ensminger specifically wanted input from someone who was familiar with modern NFL passing; there was some hope last year that Jerry Sullivan could serve that role, but he couldn't.

This is why you dont' see a lot of P5 coaches get poaches from schools that really want them.
Really? Happens all the time. Urban Meyer was Dan Mullen's "second dad". He found out that Mullen was poached by Miss St at a presser. The reporters told him. He told them he didn't believe it. How many of Saban's coaches have been "stolen" in the same way. Three of Michigan's D coaches were ripped off by Ryan Day this year.

Average coaches go through an orderly process. Hot coaches get stolen with little or zero notice.

Who knows, but Burrow does look a whole lot better than he did. The perspective is do you think LSU plays the same offensive game plan with Brennan as the starter this year?

Bright young offensive minds are the hot ticket right now. Would not surprise me in the slightest if the offense continues to do well he gets an OC offer at the least

We are LSU fans. We clutched our pearls over Notre Dame possibly stealing Dinardo from us after he went 7-4-1.

Why would Joe Brady be recruiting if he was only planning on being here one year

Was this a serious question?

How was Florida going to match a Head Coaching job?

That is a completely different situation. If someone offers him a HC job he wants, what are we gonna do?

If we don't get Burrow last year O isn't our coach, possibly this year but for sure after this year

You'd have a point if anyone in their right mind thought LSU would lose 4 games this season.

maybe we could not maybe we wanted to keep the d fresh. Maybe the receivers were too you g and I experienced.

Look. I think whatever we are doing is fantastic. And I think Brady is integral. But we do t have a clue what was being said behind the curtain

Right!

So why didn't Mullen discuss it with his mentor first?

Because Miss St said, "Sign now, or the deal probably won't get done." That is the standard closer line in these coach-poaching capers.

Why would he? Whats Urban gonna say?

Or Miss State said think it over, and Mullen said, this is the next step in my career that I wont be able to take I remain at Florida.

Again were talking about a situation where we can offer him money and a promotion. Florida wasn't going to promote Mullen to HC. So why discuss it with them?

I saw a Burrow interview yesterday and I can't remember if it was on the SEC Network or SVP but he went out of his way to give alot of credit to Ensminger. If you like Joe Burrow and/or Ed Orgeron, but don't like SE so much, maybe it's a good thing you missed it and avoided the conflicted way it might make you feel that Joe and Ed are liars.
