Because we have lost 3 games of a 60 game schedule. Makes sense.

The bigger question is: why would anyone have any emotional or fiscal investment in a program led by pawl maineri at this point?

.500 record against the powerhouses Indiana, Southern, and Eastern Kentucky doesn’t inspire confidence.

Bc LSU baseball is not good anymore. We will prob get hot a little later in the year, host a regional, lose in that regional or a super... Just enough to keep our coach is what we'll do. Rinse and repeat.

Meanwhile vandy and arkansas are lightyears better than us.

Panicking is not the word for it. This isn’t new. Frustrating? Infuriating? Sad? Depressing? Those are better words.

My issue is that, even though the talent is there, I don’t see a hell of a lot of motivation by any player on the field. These players should be fired up for any opportunity to get on the field. I don’t understand the lack of motivation to win every game. That is why they are there!

3-3 during the easiest point of the season is bad. How we're losing games makes it 10x worse.

Because at this point you have 3 guys who have proven capable of hitting SEC pitching and right now, you could throw the rest in a bucket and pull them out randomly and they would all look the same at the plate. LSU should NEVER been in a situation like this!

Fans like you are the reason why we suck and still have Mainieri. Go frick yourself and please stop being a fan. Sorry we're actually being realistic and care about LSU baseball.

They play a very boring brand of baseball. Weak offense, mediocre defense, good-but-not-great pitching, and all done with zero emotion. Obviously you don't have to show emotion to be a good team (the Bobby Cox Braves were as stoic as teams come), but you can't play this poorly without it and make an enjoyable product.

I know it's extremely common to compare Paul to Miles, but I think this is a big part of it. A lot of those football teams played down to their competition (win or lose) and were often a slog to watch. You knew at the end of the season they would typically be around the top-15, but so much of the season would be frustrating due to the talent on the team and the lack of comparable production. At the end of the day, fans want to have fun watching the team.

You aren't. But we didn't panic in '12 or there after for quite awhile either...…..

Because Eastern Kentuckys pitching is to much for us to handle. That would make me panic a little bit.

Yea it doesn’t bode well but when you are starting four freshman hitters there will be growing pains.

I mean, we got shut out by Eastern Kentucky and we have a coach that continues to insist on starting HH. I've defended PM for a while now but it's just ridiculous now and very old.

Starting Hughes wasn’t the problem last night. You realize we scored 0 runs.

Anytime you start HH you are giving the other team an automatic out. Yeah I would say that is a problem, but your right they all sucked last night

I wasn't saying he was the only problem, but to continue to start him acting like something will change is insane. His defense isn't that much better to have his subpar bat in the lineup.

The fact he has been a 3 year starter at a program like LSU is an indictment on the head coach/coaching staff.
