Who cares. This year essentially ruined that tradition.

I say just stop it until someone steps up as a TRUE playmaker unless Delpit wants it next year. PP, TM, LF, and even Chark were all deserving of the 7 but nobody on this roster, aside from Delpit, has that rare ability that we see every now and then.

I agree. They should have given it to someone deserving and a proven playmaker, i.e., Devin White. After having someone where it and basically be a ghost all damn year, I wouldn’t want the mojo recently attached to it.

I don't think this year "ruined the tradition." There have really only been 3 # 7s in recent years who were special anyway. Chark was good but not amazing and there was no #7 for a while after TM7 got kicked off. Bottom line is there will be up and down years but I think the opportunuty to be "next in line" for that legacy is something that does matter to some recruits.

Yea maybe it should be more selective and doesn’t HAVE to be given out EVERY year

Doesn’t matter and it’s a stupid tradition to begin with

A&M does it right with just 1 number

Even though LF7 had it, I wish 7 would go to a defensive player and give 18 to someone on offense.

O and Giles ruined it. Giles has done nothing to merit it, and has since done nothing to merit it. O shouldn’t have given it to him before he performed

Did Richard Murphy ruin the number 18? No? Then stop bitching.

7 is a tradition. Get on board ya losers. And it’s going to be Stingley.

Stingley said o radio that he’ll start with 24 and try and earn 7 ...

Devin White responded to J Phillips on Twitter that they’ll be 7 and 6 next year
