Whoa, who made who here? Did JD(?) make LSU or LSU make JD5?

There was a 5 at LSU before JD and plenty of likeness but how much likeness did JD have before LSU??? For me, the likeness he gained at LSU is wavering away.

Daniels won the Heisman, LSU sells his jerseys in the bookstore. His NIL cash disappears if his someone else (Pickett) takes his number without his name on the jersey.
This isn't Daniels or Pickett's fault. it's Brian Kelly and staff's fault for making promises they couldn't keep.

LSU and Nike isn't going to sell both jerseys. You would have to pay both players NIL if you sell the #5.

Whomever was going to buy a #5 jersey is going to buy an lsu jersey. Even if it’s another number.
The amount of people solely wanting a new JD5 jersey is minimal. His time at lsu is over. That person wants a commanders jersey.

It’s pretty clear we made Jayden who he is now. He was a middling starter at Arizona State.
LSU existed before him, we had Heisman winners before him, who actually led their teams to championships instead of cheeze it bowls.
JD has lots of great highlights but at the end of the day, we have better ones from other former players. I’d argue the Skyler endzone catch is a better highlight for us because it’s a championship season. We are a program that should be judging people on titles delivered.

Realistically how much NIL is Jayden getting from the sell of a 5 jersey at LSU? How much of a percent is that against what he is making in the NFL? Is the amount worth the backlash he is going to get over it?
If he didn’t have a first round contract, I could see wanting to defend it. If it’s not a huge amount maybe LSU would have no problem giving NIL to DJ and him, if he doesn’t throw a public fit over it.

It's a whole lot of bucks, it looks like LSU only sells 5 jerseys with names on them. I was at Dicks SG yesterday and I saw a Burrow, Daniels, Jefferson, Chase and Nabers jersey and tshirts.
This is free money he's going to get year after year. But I assume his agent and family probably needs it more than he does.

Is it a whole lot of bucks? It would depend on how much of a cut he gets from each. Once you factor in his contract while it’s an easy free money stream it’s likely a very low percentage of his income.
Now that is gone if you want to sue LSU. Reasonable people would probably sit down and figure out how to have Nike and LSU sell both if you really want the revenue stream. A diminished revenue stream is better than 0. We aren’t going to take away DJs number to make Jayden feel better, and it would be stupid for us to do that.
LSU doesn’t need Jayden, we have plenty of great players and other things we can use to get kids.

Maybe he is under the impression that Nike/LSU are handing out NIL for jerseys made not sold lol.
I would be shocked if it’s more than 5 or 10 bucks for a jersey and it would only be that high because I’m sure they sell for 100. It’s probably closer to 2 or 3 percent of the sale. Like you pointed out that is now 0 because his mom is dumb.
