The last three games??? Yes. It’s the eye test dummy. Actual execution and good play calling and going out to play with fire and an attitude. And say what you want (as the idiot) you are but Freeman I’d doing a much better job at ND than Kelly is here.

Telling the world that he allows the defense to dictate what he does was monumentally stupid. I thought it was just coach speak BS at the time but after he did it vs 2 rent a win teams our real opponents realized they can bait us into doing whatever they want. We’ve won on pure talent alone this year but it’s getting worse as the season goes and teams continue to squeeze us more and more.

Okay, that's where we differ. I'm judging the entire body of work, not just three games.

Kelly is 26-11 at LSU
Freeman is 28-9 at Notre Dame
Considering Freeman took over a program that was losing 1-2 games a season and Kelly took over a team that was .500, I don't know if that's really "better".

Bottom line is that this is a very very poorly coached team that has regressed. ANYONE that tries to say anything positive about Kelly and the last three games must be sleeping with him.

I don’t think he’s the worst possible CEO for a program but if he’s going to turn this around I think the first thing he needs is to hire real coordinators who have autonomy and let them run their stuff. Stability is always needed, recruiting is always needed but at some point what you’re doing between the lines has to be competitive with the elite in conference. We’re way behind there and he has to change or it won’t get better.

Major names were all guys who aren’t doing well. Brent Venables, Billy Napier and Lincoln Riley. LSU may save all of their jobs.

This board would have lost their minds if Dan Lanning was hired in 2021.
Idk about that.
I’d be alright if we hired Schumann

Honestly, if Kiffin would have considered it, you can get him.
Outside of that, anyone younger and more up and coming.
Hiring a dinosaur with no connection to the South and no recruiting inroads to the surrounding area was stupid. Kelly’s record vs ranked teams is all you needed to know. He played the three service academies easily. This was Navy’s great year and they lost to freaking Rice.
I was never on the Riley train, but I would have made some calls to a variety of coaches and Napier was not one of them.

Agree, we need a football coach not a resume.
