After staring undefeated, then having the wheels fall off at and after Alabama, then finishing with 3 loses..
Upvote for miles downvote for Orgeron.

Orgeron has proved that his teams don’t suffer major letdowns. I’d question if we beat Florida. the GW TD was on a fake FG and another TD was a flea flicker late in the 1st half which I doubt Ed O calls in those situations. it’s too tough to say what would happen in these types of hypotheticals. I think the season goes similarly without one of the losses to arky or ole miss

Personally I don't think Ed orgeron has issues with Florida although orgeron sucks at play calling I still think he's a better play caller than Miles was and therefore makes slightly better use out of Leonard fournette and derrius guice in that game and allows for a clean win at Florida without the letdown at ole Miss or Arkansas.

when has O ever called plays?

give me the "unclean" win vs UF over the "unclean" loss in 2016 anytime.
maybe O avoids an Arky letdown, maybe not.

That 2015 team flat out quit. The Ark and Ole Miss games were a fricking embarrassment.

2015 ole miss and arky
arky- top 10 run defense
ole miss- 10 win ole miss that beat bama
2017 arky and ole miss
arky= 4-8
ole miss=6-6
2018 army and ole miss
arky= 2-10
ole miss =5-7
I'm sure arky and ole miss turning into a dumpster fire has nothing to do with it.

Arkansas was putting close to 50 on everyone late in the season. They won 7 of their last 9. (the gumps 14-27 and Miss St and Prescott by 1 point.
Ole Miss couldve beaten anyone in the country and was putting close to 40 on everyone late in the season. That was a good team that the preacher bought. They won 5 of their last 6 games and the team that beat them was Arky by 1 point 52-53.
I doubt if Lombardi himself wouldve beaten Ole Miss or Arky when the Tigers played them.

Orgeron is 1-2 against Florida, Miles was 7-4. 3 of the 4 losses Miles teams had were to Florida teams that finished the seasons 13-1. 2 of those Florida teams won the National Championship and the third won the Sugar Bowl and finished the year ranked #3. The fourth loss was to a Florida team that
went 11-2 and finished the year ranked #9.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but personally, I don't think Miles had issues with Florida either.

Ole Miss finished the 2015 season 10-3 and ranked #10. As much as we all despise Ole Miss and how much it sucked losing to them, they had a pretty damn good team that year.
Also worth mentioning, Ole Miss had the 10th ranked offense nationally that year and Arkansas had the 29th ranked offense that year.
And both teams had rushing defenses that were ranked in the top 25. Arkansas was 12th and Ole Miss was 23rd.
I mention that because we all know that the LSU passing game was average at best that season and the strength of the offense was the rushing game.

The amount of revisionism that gets applied to Miles’ time at LSU is staggering. LSU was one of the 5-6 truly elite programs for a decade before a slight slide.
If you listened to the dipshits on this board you’d think LSU was just a mediocre program run by a doofus who lucked into 100+ wins.

Les miles entire offensive philosophy changed after Jarrett Lee threw 10000 interceptions that year. What was it, 2009 or 2010 I forget. He went from putting everything out the multiple receiver fronts plenty of option and play action, plays out of shotgun to run, run, play action for a sack... Les Miles was a very good coach, he just kept meddling with the offense way too much.

It truly is. I remember a time when a large group of posters claimed year after year that anyone could win 10 games a year at LSU.

Without a doubt.

Kinda funny that you leave those stats out. Arkansas and Ole Miss were much better in 2015 than 2017-18, but they still would’ve been very vulnerable to a coach who isn’t dumb enough to run it up the middle repeatedly all game long against top 10 run defenses.
I was so fricking embarrassed that year watching our blockheaded coach run it up the middle while Ole Piss and Arkansas loaded the box and were laughing at how easy it was to stop our offense.

That Troy team was better than the UAB and ULM teams that Nick Saban lost to at home. I can give you a shitload of other examples of great college coaches losing to programs they had no business losing to.
You O haters need to find a better card to play than that “O lost to Troy” card that you think is the trump card in every argument.

He sure did and broke one of the better streaks in all of CFB.
He also lost to Florida as a 2 TD favorite at home wth the Sugar Bowl on the line. He also lost to A&M last year when the Fiesta Bowl was on the line.
And he gave Giles the #7.
