bring in someone to implement the 40 minutes of Hell that Ark used to run. aggressive full court pressure the whole game. then run run run every chance you get. rotate about 10-12 a game and wear the other team out.

The game has changed quite a bit since the early 90's. Not very many major conf teams play that style. Largely because it hasn't been very successful. Texas A&M right now is probably playing the closest to that style. They've had success to start SEC play. But they have also played a pretty favorable schedule.

There are always mid major coaches that make their bones playing that way and then figure out that the type of talent you need to win in a P4 conference doesn't want to take years off their legs in a system that won't get them to the pros.

Great point, dumbass. It would be IGNORANT to want a winning basketball team that makes the tournament every year.

He just got an extension and raise at UCLA. It would be expensive to get him. Plus, Cincinnati, his home, alma mater, and former employer, is about to fire their HC. LSU is a bigger brand, but when Cronin left UC was in the AAC and he was leaving for the Pac 12 and one of the most prestigious names in the sport. Now UC is in the Big 12 and would welcome him back with open arms. Would he go home?

Yeah like I said I believe all 3 would say no but with how vocal he has been about the big ten you have to try.

As far as the UC goes they still have to fly to Arizona and Orlando etc

Not quite as bad but still something.

He was already in the SEC and got out as soon as things got bad. Plus, I think he preferred to get back to CA. Finally, he hasn't exactly lit the world on fire at USC. They had a losing record last season and he currently has a losing record again in Big 10 play.

The gamble is that he took that job at USC before the big ten announcement and if he finds that as a source for their struggles maybe he looks to get back in the SEC.

As for his struggles meh. Who are we going to get that’s proven to be better? He made 2 elite 8s and one sweet 16 at Arkansas.

Based on Nevada arky and his one year here I’ll be taking the bet usc is an aberration not the truth

you'll probably hear these names: Josh Schertz (St. Louis); Jerrod Calhoun (Utah St);

You're hearing those two from me, right now Repeatedly.

Wade also has a $5 million buyout if he leaves before April 1st, 3 million after. I am not sure what the total buyouts LSU would also need to pay for McMahon and staff, but probably be in the 8-10 million range. I'm not saying LSU can't afford it; they have proven they can when motivated to do so. All that, with of course, Wade wanting to do so.

Wade, who is known for being a straight shooter, not generally engaging in coach speak as much as most other coaches, said, "This is the best job I've ever had in terms of support of basketball and everything we need to win. It's on us to win, and it's not often that you get fired somewhere, but end up in a better spot just a couple years later." ter."

I guess they could try, but Woodward burned those bridges and tossed the ashes to the wind.

Wade has incentives in his contract that could pay him $4.3M this year, so he's potentially making a lot more than McMahon.
