I could go Miles. Took over when a lot of SEC teams were down
When Miles was here, ALABAMA was down, but the rest were better. Tennessee was still a threat to win the East for awhile, Auburn was in Tuberville's prime (that's when he traded wins with LSU every other year), Florida won 2 BCS titles, Spurrier built South Carolina to an 11 win program, Georgia was there seemingly every year (and could never close the deal), A&M came in with Johnny Football, Bobby Petrino had Arkansas rolling, etc. Freeze and Mullin elevated Ole Miss and Miss State.
There was a stretch during Miles' tenure where 5 different SEC teams won at least 10 games in the same season, 2011-2013. LSU was one of those teams each year. It would have happened again in 2015 if LSU's game against McNeese wasn't rained out.
It happened once when Orgeron was there, in 2018 (and yes, LSU was one of them).
It was during Miles' tenure that the SEC became the unchallenged king of CFB, winning 7 straight titles (with multiple teams doing it).
That isn't "down".
Orgeron was the coach of the single greatest team we've ever had, and I'll give him that. But he also gave us 2 straight years where it felt like Hallman was back, too.
Miles just made people pissed when he didn't keep up with Saban, and when his teams only won by less than a blowout. I don't know about you, but I'd have gladly taken 10-2 with a lot of boring wins last year.

I’m going with Orgeron. He was a completely useless moron. He caught lightning in a bottle with Joe Burrow, Dave Aranda, and Joe Brady. He then completely imploded the program in less than 2 years and left a very depleted roster for his successor.
The more time goes by I really think Joe Brady got way too much praise for that season. He was given the Broyles award and it absolutely should have been Ensminger.

So, the coaches you choose to shite post about are two of the very few who have won us national championships? We can only hope we get an “even worser” coach in our lifetime.

A new coach that hasn’t won a National Championship.

Why do we dwell in the negative all the time? Move on...kiss your kids...hug your dog...drink a beer and give it a rest

Won't matter when we win the NC come January.

I don’t know who was worser( as you put it), but Miles was more frustrating. 3 runs up the middle and a punt against top opponents got old quickly.
Does anyone else remember waiting for the secret playbook?

I think Orgeron was the worstest

Orgeron was solid until he won the title and lost focus entirely
I'm not sure I agree with the solid part, there were signs before 2019. He, as Miles did inherited very good talent and some good coaches. I think he started showing very early on that coaching hires were one of the signs I speak of that would lead to his undoing - outside of Brady which from all accounts was an Ensminger find.

Who was worser? Miles or Orgeron?
Hmm interesting question… in any case, I think Brian Kelly is a gooder option. Definitely one of the goodest coaches we could have getted.

Miles and Orgeron both coached LSU teams to national championships. As coaches they had their weaknesses, but it is an idiot’s discussion to ask which national championship winning coach was worser. Do you realize how rare national championships in Div-1 football are?

Miles was a good coach he just wasn’t a great one and wasn’t willing/able to adapt to the changing CFB landscape and got old.
Orgeron was a terrible coach who won by lucking into an elite QB and the staff Miles hired

Post 2019 Orgeron was not a good coach. 2016-2019 Orgeron is what got us a national championship, a modernized offense and fantastic recruiting.
These coaches are complex humans. When O lost his wife and had tremendous success he fell apart professionally. I feel bad for him, but he had to go.
Les Miles would not change. If he would have just brought in a modern offensive guru and let him coach he would still be the coach. QB's would have come and we may have even won another natty. He was too stuborn though and would not delegate.
We now have a fantastic and mature coach. Our stock is rising. Lets go!
