Just because we didn't win every single game we were never out of the top 10 this year. This is pretty stupid.

Not just a month ago. I have thought they were Omaha bound all season.

Don’t let all of the over emotional mental midgets that flood the board every game cloud your judgement here. Those clowns will never be satisfied and will always look for some reason to be negative.

Anybody that has half an idea about the game and actually watched college baseball, not LSU baseball, COLLEGE BASEBALL, knew that this team was well qualified to be in Omaha. We have EASILY the best 1 2 punch on the mound in the country, one of the best defenses in the country, and a lineup that has proven it can score any way. I think the lowest we were ranked all year was what, #9??

I won’t say I was 100% confident because baseball has a mind of its own. Also didn’t think we’d get run ruled by NWST. But a month ago I would have told you I’d give them an 85-90% chance. They are plenty good enough and have a coach that lives and breathes the sport.

Well…. One month ago we were coming a weekend where we beat Arkansas 2 out of 3. I think most people felt, at that time, that we’d get a National Seed. I felt as long as we got a National Seed that the we’d be in a great position to get to Omaha.

So, yeah, I did, and I think lots of fans would say they thought we’d end up in Omaha.

I will be honest. I didnt think they would make it a month ago. I didn't know they would be gifted the easiest regional and supers opponents imaginable. Happy to be wrong

Pretty optimistic throughout the season but with some questions about the obvious extended pitching and bats needing to get hot. Zero melts.

Moronic thread.
LSU goes to Omaha just about every other year. This team was ranked No. 1 in the nation.

As someone who always checks the NCAA stats page…we have been top 10-20 in a ton of categories all year…especially where it counts, pitching and defense. So I’ve thought we at least had a very good chance.

I thought we were Omaha bound. Skip always said that you know what kind of team you have by tax day. The talent gap in programs have closed over the past 10/15 years. It’s rear that come tax day or early May that you’ll have a team that is leaps and bounds better than everyone and stay that way. Look at where Texas finished.
My opinion, the SEC is still ahead of everyone else day in and day out from a competitive perspective. Most top teams coming out of the SEC tournament step into a regional that is easier than the conference tournament. And that’s when you really know if you’ll make a deep run in the ncaa.

Thought we’d get there but go 2 and Q because of the offense

I honestly did all throughout the season. I was confident over the last month or so that LSU would get a top 8 seed so I was even more convinced during that time that they would get to Omaha. This team is very different at home vs at an opposing team's ballpark. Now - not sure what to think about our chances in Omaha. Anything can happen - we can go 0-2 and go home or we can win the whole damn thing.

Me. I thought they would waltz through a regional and win a Super against a flawed team playing in The Box.
