I've hears similar comments on here before. I don't understand that line of thought. He's a football player. He can hack it or he isn't much of a football player.

Were you worried about Trindon? Skyler Green?

Sheppard just doesn't feel like a good fit.....and sheppard is no where close to Trindon fast.

Brooks, Randle and Gore from what I've heard. Randle on punts and the other two on kickoffs.

Trindon didn't return many punts.

Skyler Green?
Skyler had proven the ability to avoid the devastating first hit on punt returns; that's why he was back there. I have no idea if Shepard has shown that or not, but if he hasn't that would be an excellent reason not to put him back there. You really need someone with the size to take the lead gunner's hit, or the instincts to avoid it or at least not take it head on. Otherwise, you are just begging for an injury, a muffed punt, or both.

Kickoffs are a much different story since you rarely have coverage threatening the deep returners at the point of the catch.

They were saying on 104.5 yesterday Gore could be a big time player in the return game.

I would say the only definite is Randle at PR. I think he did a great job while PP was hurt, also Mo isn't half bad he'll back him up. As far as KR Brooks has some serious speed, Gore is someone i've heard ALOT, Loston as well. Boone and 14 are very interesting actually, I know Boone did very well in HS. I also like freshman like Turner/Magee, I really really like OBJ at KR/PR.

IMO Randle at PR and Brooks/Gore at KR

Doubt we will see him out there but wouldn't be surprised if I did but Craig Loston was actually a return specialist in high school too.

I hope not. I enjoyed watching Loston light up that poor bastard from MSU too much.

They have Randle at punts (say he's a Chad Jones-esque returner, sure hands with some break away speed) and then a motley crew who will try to return, Brooks, Randle, Jacoby Jones, Ford, maybe some others
