Arkansas is not a sleeper threat this year. they are a well known threat. i'd say the top 3 likely SEC champions are all from the West: LSU/Bama/Ark

Also, we're only 9-7 against Kentucky (1 game above .500 for those of you not good with math) over the last 22 years.

KenSucky always plays LSU well. Even Saban needed a miracle.

The game is after WV and before UF. This is the very definition of the "sandwich game".

actually if we wouldve lost one they get the win so it would be 8-8 so he's right

no, he's wrong.

9-7 is 2 games over .500.
8-7 is 1 game over .500.

i know what he was trying to say, though. we lose one of those games (Bluegrass Miracle) and we are a very pedestrian 8-8 against UK. That's pretty interesting considering how good we've been over a lot of that stretch.

Every SEC game will be tough, so I'll rule out all of them from "underdog" stature. With that said, playing @ WV will be the toughest test by far unless we will be favored v/s Oregon.

WVU

While I wouldn't call them a sleeper, I think they will play us much tougher than we anticipate.
I'm not too concerned with Ole Miss or Arkansas. Arky beat us on 2 busted plays last year with their star QB.
MSU always plays tough and Mullens is great coach. They will keep the Tigers honest this time, but we still come home with the win.

MSU and WVU. Ole Piss is expected to play us hard.

I'd say top three: Mississippi State, Tennessee, Kentucky.

State has given us a good game for the past few years and remember last time we went to their house??
Tennessee will be hungry after what happened last year and its always dangerous in their stadium
I could see Kentucky as one of those "looking forward to Florida" games and being closer than it should be

Miss St has been playing us pretty tough the past few years. Also, Dan Mullen has that team rolling coming off of a pretty good season. Combine that with homefield and this could be trouble for us.

And that's fair - what I should have said is one game FROM being .500.

In fact, I just did.

ETA - ...and to be brutally honest, we're one freakin' miracle pulled out of thin air by Jimbo Fisher, Michael Clayton, Marcus Randall and Devery Henderson...

FROM being .500 against Kentucky over the last 16 meetings.

Popular opinion should be Mississippi State. We've beaten them every year for the last decade and this could be the best team they've had in that entire time. Got them on the road this year, and on a thursday.

Mississippi State. Home field adv. For them, Mullens has them rolling and they will be sky high.

Not to mention it's a Thurs night game so little time to prepare.

Miss State

With Mullen's better recruiting, it won't be a cake walk to get a win there.

Basically im going with the teams that have qbs that played last year. Tenn, moostate. Not sure i Would consider Oregon, Uf, or Arkansas sleeper teams. And of course bama will never be a sleeper wit saban. Not worried about wvu peeps talk about danas offense, well they gonna have to come play against LSU d.
