Somebody has to be #1 going into the season, and I would be damn proud for it to be LSU. Like I said before, being #1 or being #10 will not add any more pressure to LSU's team. The LSUs, Bamas, and UFs of the world have all of the pressure on them regardless of the preseason ranking.

OK, there is nothing wrong with being # 1 preseason. You guys who do not like it have got some serious issues.
I think we beat Oregon, but if not? If we lose to Oregon from the # 1 spot, we are still top 6-10. If we lose from 10th spot, we are 16-20th Which one is easier to come back from. Got it!!!

Being preseason # 1 is like being recruiting #1 - it does not mean jack shite.

It does make you more pumped up for the season because you are expecting great things from the team. It also paints a bigger target on the teams back and pumps up every team to give LSU their best game. It also can give players a big head.
