You don't have nightmares as a head coach of a SEC team or you won't last long. Biggest negative effect on the program was RP. Miles may have had another NC if Ryan could of kept his shite straight.

Miles is a competitor and a winner. Those types don't dwell on the past. His energy is focused on winning, not what-ifs.

That's not really the point schmuck....gotta be RP, its probable that RP being as successful as it looked as if he was going to be would not only obviously cancelled picksixapalooza and given JL and JJ more time to develop but also changed the course and identity of the program to a "QB destination" instead of the wasteland it became for years. If that 2011 team has an above average to very good QB that team goes down as maybe the best ever. I remember hearing when Russel Wilson was going to transfer praying he would have considered LSU. With him, 2011 LSU is best team ever
Edit- I don't think the OP is meaning literally keeps Les up or something he still worries about, I think it's more along the lines of which guys situation had the biggest negative impact on the program

Kiel was getting knocked out in a lot of games against Mac level competition, the true freshman backup QB went over 1,000 yards passing on October 1st. Hayden Moore had 14+ attempts in 8 games. Kiel wouldn't have had the chest for the SEC
Les was so correct about Kiel! He doesn't have the chest. He has a great arm, can make all the throws in a 7on 7 format. He is mentally fragile and an extremely low tolerance for pain.
I have spoken to players and folks associated with ND and they echo all the characteristics he displayed at UC.
Worked out best for LSU

Kinda crazy how when Les said that people thought it was just sour grapes and a jilted coach but it was actually something he had figured out about the kids character and makeup and was absolutely correct. Not as clueless as he's made out to be

This.
The same is true of all real men.

Dude doesn't get bothered by anything.

It's between Lee and Perilloux, but Perilloux had already proved he was physically gifted enough to win in big time moments, he's the clear cut answer IMO.
I actually think it's Kiel. Perrilloux was the better quarterback by far, but we weren't making much noise with the defense the way it was in 2008, or with the running game the way it was in 2009.
I would have liked to see what that 2011 offense would have looked like with Kiel under center, though.
ETA: Never mind, got my years mixed up... too many of them where we've been a quarterback away from a championship. I guess Zach Lee is the better answer, but we never knew how good he really was, and you can't blame him for taking the $5 million.

I believe it was to Byrd. I just remember RP on some of those read options and he looked like Mike Vick out there.

RP has much to do with the current unstableness and fall from grace

the legend of Zach Lee continues to grow. People have turned this guy into a much better football prospect than he was.

Probably whomever holds the nudes

Jarrett lee is the correct answer. His pick 6's are the reason les wont let us open up the offense anymore
And if Les doesn't decide to appoint those two nitwits as co-DC then maybe we arent playing catchup so often forcing lee to throw.

Whoever the MVP of the 2007 SEC Championship Game was.
