Who does tRant believe will be the next guy(s) that will carry the torch and be a Biletnikoff finalist/high 1st rounder? Any guys currently on the roster, or commits coming in to keep an eye on?

I’m really high on Jalen Brown. Look for him to contribute in a major way next season.

I really believe that if Lacy puts in the work this summer to overcome his drop issues then he’ll absolutely explode

Probably Lacy tbh. We all know his dropsies tendencies but if he can put that behind him, watch out.

I really hope Chris Hilton gets it all together because with him Sampson and Brown we could be nasty.

Hard to tell considering we haven't really seen much of them. There's plenty of highly rated guys that don't work out. On the flip side there's plenty of underrated guys that end up being great. Won't really know until we see them on the field with extended playing time.

I'm interested to see what Pimpton can do.

Based on what? Anything besides a blind guess on your part?

Someone has to step up. I have little faith in Lacy. He has a ton of physical tools but has too many drops. If he wants to be successful at LSU he better fall in love with the jugs machine. God bless you, KL, now prove me wrong.

Hopefully we bring in a proven transfer WR1 to go with the group we have.

On the team now I'd vote Lacy and Hilton.

Dakorien Moore (if we get him) has the chance to be as good as any LSU WR ever.

Could be argued that the 2nd half of the season he was almost as productive as Brian Thomas. Not quite on the same level but here are the numbers for the final 6 games from Auburn through A&M (complements of SEC Statcat. Lacy missed Florida so his numbers are over 5 games.

Brian Thomas Jr: 22 catches on 30 targets (73.3%), 435 yards, 6TDs, 19.77 ypc, 2 drops (6.67%). 14.5 yards per target.

Lacy: 15 catches on 20 targets (75%), 294 yards, 5 TDs, 19.6 ypc, 3 drops (15%). Team high (among WRs) 14.7 yards per target.

Clear that Lacy still needs to clean up the drops (15% drop rate). But I'm confident that he will continue to be a solid contributor next year.

Lacy needs to work on his hands and he could be a big contributor.

The sky is the limit for Hilton but the guy HAS to stay healthy which has been a problem up to this point.

AA should not be written off just because he wasn’t used much this year. If we find ways to use him creatively out of the slot, he could be a serious weapon.

Let’s not forget Shelton. Yeah, he had a drop in his one big moment, but he was a true freshman who got thrown into the game. I still have high hopes for this dude - next year might still be premature though.

While we have a lot of guys that could step up big, it’s important to acknowledge that Nabers and BTJs don’t just grow on trees. So don’t expect to just match that talent / production level next year.

Sampson has not seen the field since he dropped the 2 beautiful passes from Nuss that went right thru his hands!!!
